this settings should be enabled:
Settings > Skin Settings > Backgrounds > Home - Movies > Fanart
and disable this one:
Settings > Skin Settings > Backgrounds > Home - Movies > Options > Custom backgrounds
that should be all there's too it.
if you want custom backgrounds, you can enable that setting again and select the appropriate folder where your fanart is located.

thanx for the log. i don't spot any errors there.
could you check if any images are available in this folder:
C:\Users\Torsten\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\Thumbnails\Video\Fanart
that's where the skin tries to load them from.

Thank you ronie.
There are no images in this location, only TBN files.
If there is no easier way, my best guess is to uninstall xbmc and to reinstall it. I save the database as seperate files so i can re-import very easy.

I followed your suggestion.
Your skin works ! The pictures are animated as it was before. I will try a complete re-install of xbmc.
Thank you very much for your kind help.

This is strange!
I reinstalled xbmc and imported my database.
T! works with my prefered settings and shows animated fanart. But the wired thing is that the folder C:\Users\Torsten\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\Thumbnails\Video\Fanart still contains only tbn files and no images.

This skin is only getting cooler! I didn’t know this existed. What else have I missed?
Q: Is it possible to have the moving fanart displayed on the “golden cinema” screen instead of the ugly blue?
No wonder I was depressed using Collectorz. Compared to XBMC it’s a steam driven 8 bit software.
