when attempting to run the kai config, the application simply crashes and windows vista fails to find a solution for the problem.
if anyone knows a work-around, please reply here.

well, sounds like there are 2 things to do here...
1. you need to remember vista is still a beta
2. ask xlink whats going on because i dont think they have or will begin to make a compatible version until its finalized.

then its a safe bet if the originators of the software your having issues with has no idea then nobody here does either... especially since this is a different software project.

erm, this is titled "xlink kai discussion and support", hence i thought someone might have an idea.

I have kai working great on vista you just have to use the vista compatiblility wizard feature of vista and it works great.

Ok I found a glitch when I restarted vista Kai quit working, I found out that Microsoft Defender must have been blocking it I shut down Defender and all is good in the hood again boys and girls.

i think it may have something to do with the advanced patch protection (basic version is why demon tools 4 stopped working under xp a few weeks ago) or something to do with vista needing certain types of drivers to be certified.
