Hi. I've managed to get xlink kai working fine on my PC.
I've put all my details into XBMC, but the xbox just can't connect to it.
My xbox can see shared files on my PC.
Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

Never mind. I sorted it myself.
What i was doing worng was pointing XBMC at my computers IP adress, rather then its IP adress on my home network (198.168.1.1).
How have you got XBMC to automatically detect your settings?
I would find that usefull cos i have to unplug my router alot, and this causes re-assignment of IP adresses, so my setting would end up having to be changed in XBMC again.

DHCP is all fine & dandy for assigning IP's to all networked machines. But when you have quite a few networked devices connected to your router then the use of reserved dynamis IP's is a blessing. So my main pc will always have 10.1.1.2 reserved as its IP address, xbox is 10.1.1.3, 2nd pc is 10.1.1.4 & so on.
I have the dlink g604t and there is a section in the router that lets you reserve any dynamic IP address as a static IP.
Otherwise if you turn on devices connected to your network in a random order then the router via DHCP will assign the first available IP address to that device. So if you turn on your xbox first then it will be than more likely be given the IP 10.1.1.2 or 192.168.1.2 etc.
