Hi, is possible to play HD 1080 streams (Mpeg2) without massive stuttering? Alternative drivers or overclock cpu? Is it the way? Backend tvheadend, dvb-s card tt-budget 3200.
Every else is working perfect, thank you!

Everything my tuner picks up is in mpeg2, even the HD stuff. The standards support h.264, but none of the networks update their stuff.

I doubt even the ATV3 could handle 1080 live TV streams without transcoding somewhere.

I think Memphiz is doubting that 1080p exists in the "LiveTV"-world - afaik 1080i is the highest resolution available (at least for DVB)

Yeah, the transcoding work being done on TVheadend will be the way to go. I've been semi-following that as well, as it will be very useful for iOS/ATV2 users.
