Transparency! v5.0.0 for XBMC Frodo 12.0
(2012-12-29, 06:36)JohnWPB Wrote: I KNOW how extremely frustrating it is when you work on skinning something, and code in the core application costs hours of work to get to where it was before it was messed with. I have had this happen more times than I can count with RoadRunner and my DFX skin that I created for it. At times I just wanted to throw in the towel, and would have to take a week or two off, and then go back and tackle it Smile

hehe, i finally found my soulmate :-)
it's like you can read my mind...

when you're already in over your ears in trying to wrap up all loose ends before the upcoming Frodo release,
setbacks like this is the last thing you could use.
and you really wish people would just accept a simple 'no' as an answer,
but instead you'll have to explain, justify and defend every decision you make over and over again...

thanx for your kind words and my apologies if my initial reply was a bit too blunt.

Got it the gui version to get the svn. No more depository errors. Now running 5.0.6 on the latest nightly build of Frodo. No issues yet.

I tried to update, and XBMC crashed. So i switched to Confluence default, and then i started Update of Transparency from there. Now i switched in Appearance to T! and it works. What i see here as a problem is that Autoupdate Setting was active and update was present and my Skin version was obviously erm maybe half-updated(?) and i had no possibility to fix that.

yeah, looks like the update didn't go well on your end.

out of interest, which os are you using?

I just installed Frodo rc2, on a fresh windows 7 64bit install.

The skin installer shows Transparency as Broken.

Any zip version I can download and install from zip?

Thanks

Hello, just started looking at this skin (5.03 on 12 RC3). I don't see any playlist submenu for music video available. Is this by design or am I missing something?

yup, i'll wait 24 hours before i re-enable T! dowloads,
so people get a chance to update xbmc.

so.. if you're currently using RC2, please install RC3 asap!

by design.
by default playlists can be added as a 'videos' submenu item.

you can add the 'playlists' item as a favourite though
and map them to a music videos submenu button.

OK got it. Thanks. Will wait for 5.05 and then go to work on it. BTW the jukebox is a fun feature.
