Release TV Guide - with XMLTV and streaming support
I can watch ESPN via Navi-X. Any idea how I could use the TVGuide custom streams to map a channel to that ESPN source?

Navi-X uses the following line to stream ESPN from:
Code:
URL=rtmp://213.163.67.57:80/liverepeater/_definst_/1decembera1_20368 swfUrl=http://554590055.r.worldcdn.net/player.swf pageUrl=http://foxsportslatam.com/embed.php timeout=10 live=true swfVfy=1

I was hoping some part of that could be put into a .strm file and streamed from TVGuide like I do with my HDHomeRun streams.

[edit]
Nevermind, that feed wasn't working. Got a different one and it's working as a strm file so it's all good!

Hi, I am new to the forum.
I have a problem with this addition. I added files. STRM channels and all is well. I turn off and then turn on XBMC and I get this message:
http://imageshack.us/scaled/landing/191/zdjciejz.jpg
After removing the associated communication files. STRM. How can I solve this problem?

Can you anyone tell me why my xml file is failing to load?

I have tried four different ways (mc2xml, WebGrab+Plus, the xmltv project executable and the xmlgui from brittles) of generating my xml file and I am quickly going insane trying to get this to work.

I did manage to get one test file to work with a couple of channels so I dont think it is a bug, I feel its more some of xml file formatting issue I am overlooking.

My xml file is not on the network, its is stored locally and I keep getting the "oops, there was an error, please check your settings and try again message'

my latest file is here:, created by WebGrab+Plus.

I am using ver. 1.3.96 ( I think, latest from the repo)

(ps also tried deleting those settings files in my userdata folder and rebooting.)

Hey ffxr,
I just tried your file and I was able to import it into the TV Guide without any errors.
I pushed some fairly big changes today to the git repository, so you might give those a try.
I'll probably upload a new beta version soon.

That's an old one of mine... Just change the background images with Paint.NET in the media folder. This is my latest for use with my modded Metropolis skin.

I finnaly got some time to fix my xmltv file and test the latest beta version. It's working Smile nice.
Tested on my htpc with Windows8 and FrodoRC3. Next will be ATV2 with frodo.

Some buggs:
- Going back to list after watching a channel stream, (backspace), sometimes makes the marker jump to the first channel in the list. bad if you have over 40 channels Smile
- Sometimes when pressing C to minimize channel, it shows Filemanager or some folder in Video. Weird.
- Can't seem to get the OSD when pressing O (in order to change aspect ratio and other stuff).

Questions\Tip:
- How does one get fanart on certian shows? Is that something that the xml file needs to have for each show? (I saw this on the yousee.dk source).
- Is it possible to change channels while watching a stream (next, prev)? without going back to the guide? Left, right, up, down did not work...
- Would be nice if the infobar shows the current and next event, perhaps with channel logo on one side? Smile

Great addon, very happy that it is working again on Frodo RC3. Good job twinther!

Thanks, the simple version looks great!
I don't think there is a reason to make the aeon and rapier versions though. The two skins included with the tvguide were made to make the addon blend in with the rest of the skin.

You are right, but I know that there were people who wanted to have the style of the EPG on aeon or rapier. Therefore I added to they don't have to bother.

Well I tried the plugin again, this time mapping the SMB to a drive letter to access the xmltv.xml file and I get no errors during load, nor while pressing any keys to navigate through channels. So this might be a bug for people that are not using this over a windows box and that are unable to map drive letters. my first choice was to use NFS because half my deployments are openELECs... so this would be a problem if it fails on linux.

Anyways, so now I don't get any screen errors, but now the problem is that the guide is empty... I get the channel list populated, but no shows are being showed on any channel...

Ideas?
