"Frodo treats the input of Up, Down, etc. differently now, so you only can forward with the keys at the bottom of the Now-Playing-screen. Just a friendly inquiry to check on the status of some features that have been discussed in the past that II would love to see.

1) Are movie sets something on the back burner or planned for the near future?

2) I don't see any support for smart playlists. Is this something that you are considering or am I overlooking this feature?

3) Mark Unwatched/Watched feature

4) Movie trailer support

@CaptainKen: Thanks for reply! So this isn't a bug but a "feature"...Now I'm try to find how to configure EventServer for Official XmbcRemote.. If i remember correctly the official app and the 3rd apps use different communication style...So the solutions is:
- use another app
- configure Official Xbmc Remote App to use EventServer (if is possible)

Anyway I don't understand very well why in frodo they changed this function..

I am having this same issue with the Movies "no items found"

Can see movies in some Genres and in the recent view.

I have tried clearing the scrape and re scrapping

No luck.

Any other ideas?

After updating to Frodo, my movies show up like this in the remote app:

It's showing a screen cap instead of the movie posters.

Also, my TV shows don't have posters showing up, but the banners do:

Hi,

I am running XBMC Frodo RC3 on Fedora Core 17, with the i5 Intel HDMI port connected via an AVR which is connected via HDMI to the TV in a different room. I am controlling XBMC with iPad XBMC Remote app.

There are certain menus I get in, adding a video source for instance, where I can navigate the file list in the UI popup panel with the navigation keys on the remote. However, I cannot navigate to the OK or Cancel or similar buttons on the panel. In fact there is no way to exit the panel except by killing XBMC. What am I missing?

2) Yes, smart playlists support could be a nice feature

3) Yes, it's in the TODO list

4) same as 3), it's in the TODO list

@prowlmedia, are you on OSX? your path names have "foreign" characters?

@ghostelement, instead in XBMC GUI with confluence skin the movie posters are correctly displayed?

@shash, just tried: left/right should allow you to move between the filelist/scrolling bar/buttons (OK and Cancel). Just like the keyboard arrows.

Movie posters show up for me correctly in the library view mode.

I have the same issue. Movie posters show up correctly in the skin, but it attempts to display banners (I think) in the XBMC Remote when it points to the full Frodo release version.

I use the exact same app to control a Frodo RC3 version (running RaspBMC) and it displays the posters correctly.

Joe, thanks a bunch for taking time to respond. Experimenting last night, I set the option that said something like "Remote sends key press", and then I was able to use it just like keyboard arrows.

One thing that annoys me is the search box that appears on tv screen when searching in youtube and vimeo on the iphone. Is there any way to hide this box ?

Hi Everyone,

First, thanks for this iOS app, this is the best and I like to use it.

I have 3 Frodo running on two Win7 and one on MacOS 10.8.1.
There is no problem with Win7 but I can't get it working on MacOS. It says my libraries are empty whereas it is not (same database sync on the 3 instances, sql hosted on Win 7).

I can see my libraries by connecting through the MacOS web interface but not with the app.

Do you have any idea?

I just loaded a music library on XBMC for the first time so I am having some growing pains with the remote app. The remote app doesn't show any albums under the album list; also 2 genres out of 23 are showing no listing. I get complete lists under artist and the other 21 genres. Everything displays fine on the XBMX desktop. Running Frodo on Mac OS X 10.8.2; XMBC remote for iPhone 5.
