Love this remote. It has almost everything I need. But is it possible to implement the XBMC subtitles plugin as a button on the remote control(i.e. holding the current subtitle button multiple seconds)? Now I need to go to the OSD.

If It's not exist, please somebody make me unsigned .ipa or .deb. I have not Mac and develop experience for IOS.

After updating to Frodo, my movies show up like this in the remote app:

It's showing a screen cap instead of the movie posters.

Also, my TV shows don't have posters showing up, but the banners do:

Tv shows OK but Movies posters on xbmc remote aren't the good ones.

Hi, when using two iPads (one with the xbmc media server connected to the tv and the other as remote) any of the setting, favorites, filter buttons could not be selected. Neither with the remote nor with the gesture capabilities.

To fill the TV screen completely I do not mirror the iPad, instead I change display mode to full screen #2, but the gesture control are very limited.

Leaving this buttons available in the iPad screen with the rest of the gesture instructions would be nice or including them in the remote app, both would be great for those with just one iPad.

Is there any interim solution

I just installed this app on my iPod Touch 5th gen, and I'm trying to understand shuffling playlists. I discovered that when I tap on the album art once I've started playing, I get a shuffle button. I press it, and the playlist is shuffled, but so is the currently playing song. The songs above it in the newly shuffled order don't play. This is a problem because "the currently playing song" was the first song in the playlist, and I've seen it go to the very end of the list. So my 20 song playlist ends after playing the first song.

Moreover, when I begin playing another playlist, I find the shuffle button is still selected, but the playlist isn't shuffled, and I have to press the shuffle button twice (once to turn shuffling "off", once to turn it "on") to make it shuffle the playlist, which returns me to the first problem.

If I'm not using this right, I'd really appreciate learning the correct procedure. Basically, I'd like to turn on shuffling before starting to play, or if I can only do it after, the currently playing song should stay where it is, with everything that was below it shuffled. I guess one could also argue it should go to the top of the list with the entire remainder shuffled, even if some of the songs have already been played. What it's doing for me right now, however, just doesn't make any sense.

are you planning on exposing some url scheme to call the app or part of the app from other applications? From a home automation perspective, managing to call directly the app from within, say, crestron or AMX app (that manages the rest of the house), could be great.

Is it possible to expose an url scheme to call directly the remote on an XBMC instance? Say I have more than one xbmcs in my house ("Living room", "kitchen", "bedroom"), opening via the url scheme directly the xbmc remote selecting "bedroom" could be really good.

@kurtlewis, yeah you confirm that the issues are related to the answer not properly encoded from XBMC.
1) Enable/Disable main menu items is in the TODO list
2) Hum.. I don't know if this could be a good idea
3) I will look a way to enlarge those buttons

@Xfab974, like I suggest to ghostelement, can you try to set again a poster just for one/two movies and see then if in the remote app those posters are displayed correctly? We need to do some test.
Also, try to delete the remote app image cache to see if something changes.

@Bingo007x, try if enabling in XBMC GUI Settings>System>Input devices "Remote control sends keyboard presses" something changes

@crawfish, If I'm not wrong, this is exactly the behavior that you can experience within the XBMC GUI. Enabling the Repeat mode to "All" the playlist when the last item is reached, the playback will continue from the first item.

I setup the input device as recommended, but keyboard instructions from one iPad to the other, or the iPad to the Mac do not perform any command.

I used the examples of the following link http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Keyboard.

Any other suggestin would be welcome.

I use this app on iPad and iPod and it works fine. iPod is running 5.1.1. Ipad is 6.1.

New iPhone 4S running 6.1.1 has problems. Every touch sends several impulses to the xbmc raspbmc frodo 12.

This makes menus impossible to use, as I never know where or how deep in the menu I am going to be... Or whether a menu choice will be inadvertently chosen for me

Hello, this is my first post on this forum and I'd just like to say that this app is fantastic, makes XBMC so much more user friendly. I would like to make a suggestion thou, just a small one (I think), when you view a movie you can see its cast and crew, along with the name, plot, ect. I was wondering if in a future update you could click on an actors picture to see a list of other films involving said actor.

Again, I don't think it would be too hard to implement, and would make the interface a little more intuitive.

@phiberoptik, did you notice the help screen for the remote control view? looking at this screenshot http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1302587 , try to tap and hold that button to activate the context menu. Or if you are in gesture mode, again tap and hold shows the context menu dialog

No problem, Here I go again.

I use 1 iPad with the XBMC server connected to the tv. How do I go to the settings using the remote app on another iOS device, another question would be how do I go to settings using the gesture controsl on the same iOS device when sending the image to a TV (a black screen is left on the iPad with the gesture control instructions and an XBMC logo).

!!! With scrolling (up, down, left, right) buttons when controlling the XBMC server on OSX I have no problem because the GUI allows it. But not with the XBMC on another iOS device.

The skip +/-30secs, +/-10 mins (left, right, up, down) buttons aren't working for me since I upgraded from Eden to Frodo. Is this a known issue?
