I recently updated to frodo and now the xbmc remote says "no instances of xbmc found" I have zeroconf enabled, and "allow control of http" enabled my ip adress is correct and I tried using different ports, and usernames. Im using windows 8 64 bit.

Any suggestions?

try to connect to the XBMC webinterface using the iphone/ipad safari and check if it work.
The URL should be http://<username>:<password>@<server_XBMC_ip>:<server_port>

i just wondered if anyone was looking at livetv, and epg support in the remote ? I've read there isn't much existing epg support in the JSON structure ?

You can browse and switch channels with the remote app by going in Movies>Live TV. Due the fact that there are only few methods available is still here. When new methods will be implemented on XBMC side there will be a dedicated section in the remote app.

I switched back to confluence from Aeon mq4 and now it working, not sure why this would have an impact or if it even did but now its working. Except my music does not syc up and i have to add songs manually to a playlist.

Amazing app! I use it every day. I saw an old post from 4-5 months back, but any update on a URL scheme for this app? I'd love to call this app up from my control software. Thanks for all the great work!

I do have all that, is it possible its my crappy 3gs? Im waiting for a 5s to upgrade but maybe i should bite the bullet and just get a 5 right now.

I navigate to youtube app go to search, the search option appears on screen, on my phone i just get loading.... then nothing just says no search results, so i navigate to the keyboard manually and the text shows up on screen but nothing on the phone, and no search results until i hit back a few times then see the search results.

In constellation its very simple, navigate to youtube, the keyboard pops up, what you type the text appears on the phone itself and the search results appear below on your phone its very easy. I dont know if you could try three youtube app and just compare?

Its about the only thing i prefer for constellation. Unless this is a product of my crappy phone.

@Ghostdivision, strange and it shouldn't be a device issue. When starting XBMC, did you have any popup message on XBMC GUI that says "Remote Communication Server. Failed to Start"?

I had the same problem, but in windows 7; finally tracked it down to windows fire wall. Allowed a exception and problem solved!

May I ask / suggest a feature? Currently one is allowed to search for movies in the movies section, and TV shows in the TV section. Would it be possible to add an 'across area' search? Maybe in the 'menu' screen?
Issue is that some items are/can be both shows and movies. Separation of search makes things harder to find.

The separation is generally better, but a cross area search has its benefits too...

Ugh! I just updated to the new version and now the remote control buttons don't work right (i.e. the big arrow keys). I keep tapping on one of the arrow keys and eventually they respond about a second or so later. Sometimes it doesn't respond at all! All the buttons in that area from the home button to the OSD button have this weird behavior. However, the other buttons at the top (stop, play, subs, audiostream, etc) and on the bottom (music, pictures, etc) work fine. This is using iPad 3 connected to latest version of Raspbmc. Bummer... no way to go back to the previous version where those controls worked fine.

iOS app just updated, the arrow keys seem to have stopped working? Other buttons on the remote work but those and a few others don't respond to keypresses.

Mine is also busted... Iphone 5. Arrow buttons and info wont work. Only the middle button in the entire section is working. Audio, subtitle and such not effected.

Dont you guys test your apps before releasing them??

I have deleted the app and redownloaded it... Not working.

My wifes iphone 5 still works fine on the old version.

Please fix!!

The arrow keys and many other buttons do not work on the app for me either
