hell guys,

I just bought an amazing mk802+

This device has incredible capabilities,

But the Most important for me is RTMP live streaming.

So i installed right away the retail version of XBMC, discovered that it has no HW accel,

then i found these builds http://mirrors.xbmc.org/test-builds/android/

They claim to have hw acceleration, indeed they appear in the options.

The problem is rtmp playback didn't change anything with this version, some mp4 videos are still slow.

All videos i'm trying to play are very low res videos, something like 320x240.

Can you guys give me an advice for solving this problem ? is it related to any codecs or smth ?

It's because the MK802 is A10 garbage.

Are you serious ? this thing can run some videos on vimeo ok, but very low res rtmp streams not ? I can't bealive

Well, the product itself might not be too bad, but Allwinner, who makes the A10 chip, just hasn't been too corporative with open source projects and getting video decoding working well. You might want to check out the threads about setting up an external player for now.

Already tried setting up external player, but this method doesn't seem to work for rtmp live streams :/

Thanks for the info, tried that build with no success, now the video takes only a portion of the screen but still ugly artifacts and slow playback. very sad
