[released] Official XBMC Remote for iOS
Thanks again
Hi Joe. I'm at home now and can confirm that I can only see my music library via the files option. When I select the music (CD case) I just get 'No Media Found'. I haven't been able to work out why yet, any ideas?

Via files, the queue option only works if I already have something in Now Playing.
Okay I got the music working, I tried 'scan to library' which I had previously not done because I thought that was for something different. That is now busily building my library which I can see using the remote.

It hasn't resolved the problem with queuing albums though.
I think this may be resolved now. Once the library scan completed the queue and album play started working. Seems perfect now.

Thanks for your help.
Big thx to the team to fix the iphone and ipad appz !!
HI,

I also got the update...Everything is back to normal and working again.

Thanks.

Cool
Got the updated version - can also confirm that the remote buttons work properly once again. Excellent!

Slight nitpick - movies and tv are still using 'a/an' and 'the' in their sorting. I can live with this, but ultimately it's better when the articles are omitted.

if you haven't changed the setting, when enabling Settings>Services>Remote Control>Allow programs on other system to control XBMC, XBMC start to listen on port 9090. Checks if maybe your firewall (if any) is blocking communications on this port.

I dont think its a port issue because it works just not the keyboard, my xbmc port is setup to be 8777 for the webserver is there any issue with having it at that and this app? It would be kind of hard for me to change it because i have alot of things (apps) configured that way and that port forwarded in my router. Everything else about the app works, i can reboot, shutdown, control, launch movies, wake on lan ect....

On constellation and this app i have my ip the same, port set to 8777 the same, and mac address the same, they both work, and on constellation the autokeyboard works, just cant get it working with this app.

I forwarded port 9090 now, originally when i tried to forward it my router claimed the port was out of range, now i tried it again and it works.

If i try to input 9090 port into xbmc webserver setting though i get server failed to start. I think thats why i originally changed it.

Is there anything wrong with using my own port 8777? Everything works except the keyboard, and that also seems to work in constellation using that port.

Sorry to bump this, just want to ask joe if there is anything wrong with setting xbmc webserver to my own port (8777) or if there is any issue with what i have done? If not i think i will let the keyboard issue go until i upgrade my phone..
yeah, version 1.2.4 has been published this time without issues (known).
@Ghostdivision, out of curiosity: have you set the port 8777 inside the app as well? A part that, I can't figure out what is missing. An xbmc.log that shows when the app starts and try to connect to XBMC could be helpful.
How do you guys get the content in there? I am going nuts. I got the remote to work perfectly and the http address works too. There is nothing under movies... no content. Please help!!!
I don't know if it is the same for movies but for music it ended up working when I right clicked on the music source and selected 'Scan to Library'.
Since this post may have gotten lost in the 'craze' around the broken buttons, I'll re-ask it just this one time, and never again... I promise:

Quote:May I ask / suggest a feature? Currently one is allowed to search for movies in the movies section, and TV shows in the TV section. Would it be possible to add an 'across area' search? Maybe in the 'menu' screen?
Issue is that some items are/can be both shows and movies. Separation of search makes things harder to find.

The separation is generally better, but a cross area search has its benefits too...
@edrikk, you're right! I missed your feature request Smile

Yeah, I see the advantages of your request but at the moment the app doesn't store any data internally so I have to look if there is some XBMC API that allows this kind of cross search.
hello, on my iphone 3gs the xbmc remote is not working properly after the latest ios upgrade, looks like every button works but not the 4 big arrows, anyone has the same problem?
@Ferrari355, do you see anything in XBMC GUI under the movie library? http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Video_library

Also, can you browse your videos files in the remote app by going under the files section? (the folder icon)
