Hello there. My first post.
I am currently interested on (finally!!!) using XBMC as my HTPC frontend.
I already have an HTPC backend, a low powered ARM device running tvheadend with a DVB-T stick and a NAS with loads of movie clips/songs.
In order to get rid of my Asus O!Play and move into the XBMC world I am interested in buying a low power consumption device, like a pivos or a g-box midnight or even one of those android-in-a-stick mini PC's like the Rikomagic.
But since I'm not an XBMC geek I don't know which to choose.
Can someone help me choosing?
Requisites:
- low power consumption
- compatibility with XBMC in full screen 1080p
- capable of decoding video by hardware (some don't, right?)
- ethernet connection (usb to rj45 is ok if transfer speeds are close to 100Mbps. If that's even possible...)
- remote shutdown or sleep or whatever it is called (so that it goes into <1 watt)
- wifi or bluetooth (just for connecting a remote controller)
- DTS support with a connection to an A/V receiver
- I live in Portugal (EEC) so I would be interested in a product that I can buy in the EEC (avoid customs)
And since I'm Portuguese, I wouldn't mind if the box/stick was cheap
Hope this post is not breaking any forum policies. My apologies if it is.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
