Transparency! v5.0.0 for XBMC Frodo 12.0
(2013-03-21, 21:04)modex Wrote: Hi Ronie,
Many of us work use XBMC and in particular we all use the transparency skin because of its amazing eye candy and sheer versatility.
We were discussing an idea that has the potential of looking pretty wicked on the screen and that is an extension to the revolving CD using cdart.
The idea we had was that there was an option to have the revolving CD in the centre of the screen, almost filling the screen, looking a bit like the old vertical 12" laser disk players.
It could have the artist fanart behind the spinning disc or alternatively, there could be visualizations behind the disk as well or instead of the artist fanart.
Don't know what you think of this idea, or even if it would be possible, but we all thought it would look pretty amazing eye candy when playing music, so thought we'd drop you a line.
Thanks for an amazing skin, it really is awesome. Smile

it's sometimes hard to imagine ho something would look without actually coding it.

so honest answer, i have no idea if that would work :-)

I just upgraded to Frodo 12.1 on my Windows HTPC and I realized that my movie sets are no longer displaying as gold cases in Transparency!
instead, they are showing the regular DVD case with the multi-disc icons on top.
When I return to the main list of movies from a set, the icon flashes the gold color for a fraction of a second, but returns to the grey DVD case.
Is anyone else having this issue? And if so, is there a way to fix it?

I tried uninstalling Transparency! and reinstalling it, but that didn't solve the problem.
I reinstalled Frodo 12.0 and it returned to the gold cover. When I installed 12.1 again, it reverted back to the grey DVD cover.

it's a bug in xbmc 12.1.
there's little i can do about it in the skin.

Does anyone else have an issue with the "Cast" feature in movie info? I get photos of some cast members, but when I hover over them, I can't see who they are most of the time. The "generic" images of cast members who don't have photos, you can't hover over and see who they are. Also, I can't click on the cast member icon and search my library for films they're in.

****unable to loads skin. Skin is missing some files***

Windows 8
XBMC 12.1

Guys,
I am having a bit of trouble with my fresh install of Frodo 12.1 on my new Win 8 machine.

I have tried to change the default (confluence) skin to Aeon or Transparency but i keep getting the above error.

The skin downloads OK and flags as being enabled - but i don't get the question "do i want to use now" etc etc

The new skin shows up for selection in the appearance/skin menu but has the default piece of jigsaw icon.

when i select it I get the error message above.

I have tried a couple of different skins, and deleted them from the directories and tried again, but still no luck.

Can anyone help?

Don't know (I have no problems on Win8 like this) but I never install programs into Program Files (x86) (not saying that's a factor at all). You might look if there is a copy of the skin in your user appdata XBMC\addons\packages. If it is there, delete the skin folder in addons and unzip the copy in the packages folder to addons then give it a try.

Thanks for the response! And thanks for your development on the skin!

Many add-ons like Youtube will not show a fullscreen picture (/fanart) of the movie, but only a small thumbnail in the bottom corner. Is that because of the add-on or the skin?

Hi Ronie,

Thanks for a great skin. Is there any way we can get a .zip version to install. I updated my openelec install which now runs Frodo and I would like to install T!.

Thanks
