xTV (Apple TV take 1 replica/clone) skin is in the XBMC Skinning Project's SVN
Never mind I fixed it.

A link with a small guide using a SVN Client Guide for beginners; http://xboxbox451.googlepages.com/svn_client_guide.html

After trying several SVN URL links for the Xtv skin with no success, I found the correct one. It is part of the "XBMC Skinning" project and can be found here: http://sourceforge.net/svn/?group_id=87325

can someone tell me how to download the skins (xTV, Vision, etc.) for XBMC?

I have TortoiseSVN and used to be able to download XBMC skins from https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/xboxmediacenter/xTV, but the link is no longer valid.

I found this link http://xboxmediacenter.svn.sourceforge.n...diacenter/, but TortoiseSVN gets error when I try to download the skin.

Error: PROPFIND request failed on '/viewvc/xboxmediacenter/xTV'
Error: PROPFIND of '/viewvc/xboxmediacenter/xTV': 301 Moved (http://xboxmediacenter.svn.sourceforge.net)

How do I fix this?

Thanks,

bandgap

You almost had it

https://xboxmediacenter.svn.sourceforge..../(skinname)

Damn formatting
For python coding questions first see http://mirrors.xbmc.org/docs/python-docs/

I did put the "skinname", xTV, as shown in the error.

This is what I entered as "URL of the repository:"
http://xboxmediacenter.svn.sourceforge.n...enter/xTV/

Error I got:

Error: PROPFIND request failed on '/viewvc/xboxmediacenter/xTV'
Error: PROPFIND of '/viewvc/xboxmediacenter/xTV': 301 Moved (http://xboxmediacenter.svn.sourceforge.net)

I just got it working. I used http://xboxmediacenter.svn.sourceforge.n...enter/xTV/, but change /viewvc/ to /svnroot/.

Thanks for your help.

Here is a word of advice, when you see someone's SVN repository on SF click Code then on SVN then at the bottom you will see:
svn co https://xboxmediacenter.svn.sourceforge....ediacenter xboxmediacenter
Use the address in there. It will make things easier.

BenO, I got bored and made a Coverflow mod for my xTV, you can try it if you like. xTV Coverflow Mod

Image

It works fine for me in 720p, the mod is only 3 files, a png file, and 2 xmls, the original xmls came from the svn on july 21. BTW, its only for 16x9. It's really just the code from Classic times 3 to give it reflections, and then some tricks to fix the overlap in those reflections. Enjoy.

could this coverflow easily be imported into xMC as well?

Wow, i always loved CoverFlow!!! It can be easily to port to 4:3? I would try to do it (i think it would be a good point to start with skin modding) but i'm going tomorrow to CampusParty, so no XBox Big Grin

WOAH that looks awesome! I have a screen capable of 720p and it is my default resolution :-)
Will try it tomorrow!

for some reason I can't get any videos to launch over a network with the coverflow mod. maybe because of the lack of index building?

All my media is on a smb network with 27 shares across 2 servers and 11 harddrives, I noticed on the 7-16 t3ch build, that for some reason the muti source bookmarks are not working so well, namely the "All" bookmark with 20 paths works fine, but a smaller one with 7 locks up, and the one with 8 and also with 4 works fine. (I swear it looks like a odd numbered multi below 8 is whats broken) That could have something to do with it, and yes I did a clean load with and without proir settings, I had to go back to an older one to make the multi source bookmarks work right. I didn't write up a bug report because I figured I wasn't alone. Hope that helps you. Maybe Cheif has one of his own in the works that does cds too soon.

MacGyver I like the idea behind how you hid the reflection bleed through but it really only works for solid colors

I know, but I couldn't think of any other way of doing it.
Is there another way?
If so, please let me know, how is everybody else doing it, or do they?
