The channels numbers in the xmltv.xml file are correct. but the channels in my guide are in numerical order. So I start out at channel one when Fios starts at channel 2. Every channel that is skipped makes the guide that much further off. How do I fix this?

edit: Nevermind. I figured it out.

How did you fix it? I've been having the same issue but have just been living with it.

It is still in numerical order it the "Live TV" menu for XBMC. You need to go to programs/tv:Confusederver. There you will get the pseudo tv guide.

I figured it out. It's actually just a setting to get the original channel numbers to show.
System -> Settings -> Live TV -> General
- Check in "Use backend channel numbers (only works with 1 enabled PVR addon)"

Question
Hello all,

I am new here and just installed this great add-in to my HTPC. I have it up and running however most times when I start the sever and go downstairs to my office PC to watch the hockey games I get "Video not found or access denied: http://192.168.10.6:8555/stream.fil?tune...1370304654".

I can go back upstairs and restart the server from the browser interface however this has not been working anymore.

EDIT: I would also like to add I cannot get the guide data to show for the life of me. Everything just says No Program Info. I do see the ChannelMap csv file.

looks like this...
845 MASNHD 1
846 TCNHD 3
847 CSNHD 1
848 NBCSP 3
849 GOLFD 19
850 ESPNHD 1
851 ES2HD 3
852 ESWHD 44
853 ESPNU HD 3
854 CBSCH 1
855 B10HD 3
856 TCNHD 3
857 SPDHD 26
858 NHLHD 1

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

I have been running this on the raspberry pi for a while now. In version 0.5.12 when I change channels I get an "error connecting to server" message or it does a quick reboot to the home screen. In both cases, I can restart tv:Confusederver and it starts up on the channel I had switch to. I sometimes get a similar error on my laptop when I change channels frequently. Any thoughts? Also, is there a way to get pvr.tvserver to work on a raspberry pi running openelec?

I'd guess firewall/permissions issues. Try turning off all firewalls on both computers and see if this helps. From my experience this is the most likely issue.

Other things to try:
Try watching on the server computer using the web interface. Use http://localhost:8555, the local IP of the tuner (assuming you have a ceton it's probably 192.168.200.1, so this would be http://192.168.200.1:8555) and the server's IP from the router (192.168.10.xxx, you'll have to get this from the router or ipconfig). All three of those should work, but an issue with only one of them might be informative.
Try to watch through vlc directly (the url formatting is in the api.readme.txt file) to see if it's just the browser that doesn't work or if it's the server.

If this doesn't work PM me and we can try to figure it out.

Hello everyone….XBMC newbie here…

I'm pretty sure that I followed the instructions in the install txt file properly, but I am having a serious problem that has driven me crazy all day.

When I open XBMC and launch the tv:Confusederver, I get an error message saying to follow the installation instructions properly (which I thought I did) and that the resources folder needs write permissions. I am not currently at my HTPC, so I am sorry that I can't post the exact words of the error message or the exact path that the write permissions were requested, but I figured that I'd post anyway to see if all the experienced people here could possibly help. FWIW, I did give write permissions to the folder that was requested in the error message (had to look at the XBMC log to get the full path), and that did not fix the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This seems like an incredible script that I would love to include in my setup!

I'm getting the same issue where the Plex channel works great in iOS, but in Plex/Web it does not work. Haven't tried the client yet. Mcheng, I'm willing to test for you :-)

I believe he has stated that working out the kinks with plex was on the to do list, but in the meantime, try using the method explained in the post above yours. With all my tinkering I've found plex to not be very tv friendly, I still update and play with my plex pass, but for usability, you really cant beat xbmc with the tv:server's pvr plugin
