Possibly the wrong place to ask this but I have an XBMC with a remote VDR backend. Changing channel takes 4-5 seconds - is there any tuning I can do to make that quicker either in XBMC, VNSI or VDR?

I would assume a problem after vdr, means on your tv card or whatever this is connected to. can you provide more information?
