Hi, I have scoured the threads and I can't find anything on this one.

When you hit pause there is a large icon of the video placed in the lower right hand corner. When the OSD is displayed, that same image is used for the icon placed to the left of the osd controls.

I don't mind the latter, but how do I disable or hide the icon that appears when the video is paused? It also shows up when you first play the video.

nope, there's no option in the skin to hide it.

I am aware. Is there XML code I can delete?

check the last half of the file,
you can delete the entire 'group' that has the 'player.paused' visible condition.
