Does the "Official XBMC Remote/iOS" app allow audio streaming TO the device? if not will it be a future feature?
I tried searching for such an answer but couldnt find anything specific :/

The remote is just that a remote, it displays cover art/fan art of what is playing but does not receive audio/video stream.
you can JB your idevice (depending on your ios version) and run XBMC on it and it can play audio/video.

You can enable UPnP on your XBMC system (server) and then use an app such as MediaHouse on your Android device to play the audio/video content streamed from XBMC.

Yatse, a nice xmbc remote, does upnp. or search for any app that plays upnp and you're set.
