What is the share you have setup on your HTPC? You have ServerWMC setting set to "\\HTPC-PC\Users\Public\Recorded TV" but I think it's saying that actually yu have shared the Recorded TV subfolder and not the top level Users folder, therefore shouldnt it actually be set to "\\HTP-PC\Recorded TV" ?
From the HTPC itself can you browse to this path in explorer? \\HTPC-PC\Users\Public\Recorded TV
Also I can see you are using a user "XBMC" with a password, can you confirm that this is a local windows user that you created on your HTPC-PC? And the password you set in ServerWMC is the correct password for this user?

You may also wish to consult the guide that I posted. It's a sticky at the top of this forum. You need to pay close attention to the instructions about sharing the folder and using IP addresses instead of computer names...

Oh yeah that's a good point, the raspberry pi most likely doesnt have host name resolution, so use the IP address rather than HTPC-PC

thanks for your quick reply scarecrow420.
yes, I have only shared the sub folder \Recorded TV(would allow the parent folders the same way), I also did try changing the path on Server WMC to \\HTPC-PC\Recorded TV, but that did not work and it notified on my Htpc that such a drive did not exist.
I can browse the path \\HTPC-PC\Users\Public\Recorded TV from htpc and other computers
I have stepup an windows user XBMC on my HTPC(no password) I did also enter an USERid on Server WMC as XBMC
.I dont remember where i had setup the userid and password on my raspbmc, but i think it is the same as i have on server wmc, because I can view the files from the htpc folder on my raspbmc.
quick question- should i specific anything under System--> Settings-->Live TV-->Menu/OSD ..> Default folder for PVR thumbnails ?

Cool thanks everyone.Got license and it works fine. With a exception of buffering hiccups (onetime more 10 secs) , I can watch livetv/streaming recorded videos
