In file mode i cant switch to thumbnail view, stays in list

Unless you're in a node that actually has content (so artists, albums, songs, etc) there is no view other than list view as there's nothing interesting to show here imo aside from the list labels. It is wrong / confusing that there is a view switch button in that case though. I'll look into that some time.

In options menu i sometimes cant scroll down, up works, so when i want to select the second item i must press up till im there

I need specifics in order to try reproducing. What window, which buttons, what view, etc.

Is it possible to have the channel list larger, from top to bottom?
Now it shows 4 channels. If it makes more use of the space it could show 6 channels at once.
When you have a lot of channels the scrolling would be faster.

I'm counting 5 channels. The current implementation of the PVR in XBMC is planned to get a complete overhaul as it's quite a hack job. Until it's clear how that's going to be and what it means for skinning I'm not doing any work on the PVR aside from fixing major bugs.

As stated in the OP and the FAQ, there are no watched indicators. An item is flagged when it's unwatched. So if it's not marked it's watched, it's obvious to me. I think watched indicators are pointless.

I too am in the same camp of not understanding why anyone would want watched flags over unwatched. When I'm browsing through my library, I can clearly see that a new episode of the show I'm currently watching is available. Makes much more sense to see an indicator when something new has been added.

2. If you select one of the custom menu items, new artwork will not pop up. If you go back into browse in the same section, the artwork starts to pop in, and going back to the custom menu item will show that artwork, but nothing that wasn't already cached when entering through browse. I hope this makes sense... it's a bit strange to explain.

Sorry, but I don't have any idea what you mean. What artwork? I need clear steps to try to reproduce.

Yea, I knew that this one was a bit confusing to explain. Here are my steps... I'm using mysql as the db, so I'm not sure if this has any affect on this specific "bug".

1. Fresh install of xbmc with refocus (obviously)
2. Add my advancesettings.xml to point to mysql db. Upon re-load, the library information populates immediately from mysql.
3. It's my understanding that all artwork is cached locally, so if I go into TV/browse for instance, the artwork starts to "pop-up" as I scroll around. If I didn't allow all artwork to populate and went into a custom folder item within the TV section, the artwork that was not cached previously will not show up (they'll show your stock blue-diamond artwork). This goes for all TV shows, season folders, and episodes. When I go back into browse again, the artwork starts to show up as it did previously. This would be fine for most people, but I'm planning on never going into the browse section, and only using the custom folders.

I have almost the same problem, but in the visual shelf on home with movies recommended, when I'm end list , I can not go back to the beginning, I have to go to the end and then I can see the beginning .
There is a lock forward, but not backwards!

What prompts the shelf to update? I'm using it to show latest episodes and movies and have pc on 24/7 (as its a pvr server aswell). Even though i see todays new episodes when i go into tv shows>new episodes, the shelf is still showing the yesterdays newest episodes.

I wish I could give you a clear answer here. I don't use a mysql database so I can't try to reproduce this exactly. That being said though I cannot think of any reason what influence skins could have on this. The "complexity" of custom items from a skin perspective is providing the mechanism for the user to select the different content types from the various sources. But in the end a custom item button launches the nodes, folders and playlist no different from "normal" buttons.

The best I could do is ask around in the skin dev forum, maybe other skinners use an sql setup or know if this can have anything to do with skins in particular.

I don't think they will be giving the dialogs a (big) makeover, the problems that need to be adressed mostly concern the main PVR screen. I could make it taller and put it on the side of the screen? That way you could probably show about 10 entries I think.

If I understand you correctly, I can't reproduce this.
I activated the recommended movies widget. I scrolled to the right from the main menu to the recommended movies widget. It's showing 25 items. I am able to scroll from number 1 to number 25. When I'm at number 25 I can either scroll back up, or I can press down again, and I am at number 1 again.

It uses XBMC's content targets, which should read directly from the db. Did you activate one of the builtin functions or a playlist?

Bug: When playing music, Refocus is showing the fanart, the top half of the album cover (zoomed to the full width of the screen) and the active visualization all on top of each other! This obviously looks pretty dreadful.

Expected behaviour: Only the fanart should show if there is any, otherwise the default music background. Never the album cover. The visualisation should also be clearer (brighter) when blended with the fanart (I use the Waveform visualisation)

I found the solution, I have removed the folder (deteded pictures only ) background images and all work well now !

I can live with the album art (if there is no fanart) as long as it is not zoomed to the screen width. That looks terrible.

As for the visualisation, take a look at Refocus Light for Gotham, that's how it should look. If the visualisation is so pale as to be almost invisible, there is not much point in it being there is there ... ?

It will be zoomed to the screen width. Most of my album art are HD images, and I don't think it looks terrible. If you don't like it or want things differently then change it. It is open source after all.

Please let me decide about how things "should" look, as this is my skin after all. Thank you.

Been enjoying the skin for a while, thank you for your efforts! I'm eagerly awaiting the horizontal menu, it was a thing of beauty.

Is there an easy way to make the main menu, when displaying fanart, use a logo in the lower right corner instead of the text name?

BTW, I love that the recent episodes view places the logo over the episode thumbnail image, that is a beautiful detail! And very useful to know what show I'm looking at.

I really like your idea, but at the moment I can't think of a way to do this unfortunately. The data for the fanart slideshow is provided by an add-on, and I would need some way to connect the properties it provides to the logos. And as the logos are provided by another add-on I imagine that to be tricky at best. But I'll see if I can think of something. Cheers.

Well I've tried everything, I have done several times, the update, uninstall, install, and I can never put the trailer option in the home. Can you explain me how to integrate this option? when I fill my ways for films, it is necessary to activate'' youtube trailer with moviedatabase? but nothing work after !! i m disapointed
