Win Missing covers in Recently added widget
#1
Hi there

Im new at this, and are looking to try out a few skins.

I have tried Aeon MQ 5 and now Ace, but both have missing covers in the "Recently added" widget.
However when entering the movie wall, all covers are there.

What type of covers do I miss ?

Using Gotham 13.0 on Windows 8.1

This is how it looks in the "Recently added" widget:

But this is how the movie wall looks like:
It has all the right covers.

How do I get the "Recently added" widget to display the right covers ?

I, sort of, solved it.

Seems XBMC does not use my folder.jpg file as poster, so if the skin only use poster there is none.
I have made a copy of all my folder.jpg to poster.jpg and then it works.

Why XBMC use some of my folder.jpg files as posters and others not, I don't know.

I have the same problem (been having it for a while). Looks like it is somehow related to using a remote mysql database. I didn't have it before when just the database was remote, but now I also update the database remotely via a raspberry pi and this problem has surfaced.

It doesn't see to have anything to do with naming conventions, but with caching. The thumbnails are not cached and it's the cache that's used by the ACE (and AEON MQ5) skin I think. If you go to the movie information and go to 'get thumb' the preview is also black there. But once you actually go in there it correctl shows the local file. If you click the local file,it is now cached and everything works. SO for some reason, the files are not cached?
