can you make the music player be snapped like the video player something like this?

also could you make a snap view like this for instance if your watching a movie an then you wanna jump straight into a tv show just open the snap menu an select a channel or in this case studios is what xbmc has an maybe have a option to change to the live tv?

achievements

could you make the achievements actually work like add some an add an option so we could make our own

like for example have some achievements for watch 10 episodes or watch 10 movies ?

I still get script failed erros on gotham 720p skin I can not install many plugins I always getting script failed when the are installed somebody now why ?

Am i been stupid or something with this 'skin'?

Thought id try it out, couldnt see any arm in it, so downloaded the zip and imported it in XBMC and then the option came up to change to this skin which i have. Now i expected an XBOX One theme of sort to pop up but instead im getting what looks to be the xbox one setup screen asking me what country im in, my account and password, then it does an audio check and then.....well thats it!!

Whats happening? Or.... how can i change it back to my previous skin - or remove it.

first things first witch skin did you downloaded ? I mean the gotham or the Frodo skin ?

But deleting is easy if you use windows got to user/your username/appdata/roaming/xbmc/addons here you will see the addons folder inside this folder are al your plugins and al the skins except the confluence skin and the touched skin

Just delete the folder with the name of this skin and restart or boot up xbmc and it wil start with the default skin.

Like mattyspurs76 I too was getting the same issue. That is with the 720 Gotham skin, during the installation, once it reached the power options it would crash xbmc.

A couple of things, I know how to delete the skins from the addons folder and I am also running on a Mac. The other thing is that I initially started with the 1080 Gotham skin and everything worked fine except for the known issue of the resolution being small. So for that reason I downloaded the latest 720 Gotham and it crashes every time I get to the power options of the in the setup. I tried deleting both the 1080 and 720 and still the same thing. The only thing that I have not done is remove everything from xbmc, a la "fresh start", and then installed the 720.

Any thoughts?

@iAMl3dgend : Yeah the new shell will be using Gotham. There is some problems with it at the moment but this will be fixed soon. The shell includes improved xbox controller support, more addons, repos, system optimizations, registry tweaks, service tweaks, ram cleaner and more.

@iAMl3dgend : Yeah sure! I will try and include this in to the next update. I don't know about the TV guide on the snap menu though, i don't think that it will be possible but i will take a look in to it. And as for the achievements i will also include this in to the next update. I will also try and add an option for you to receive achievements for watching so many movies or Tv shows. E.g. Receive an achievement for watching 10 Tv shows.

@grote345 : When you receive the script errors could you send me a copy of your XBMC log and then i might be able to find out the problem.

@mattyspurs76 : Yeah, before you can use the skin you have to run through a little setup that will make everything work properly. This skin includes lots of different modules, scripts, email services and other settings that no other skin uses. Without running through the setup you will receive script errors and glitches. Once you run through the setup you won't need to do it again, It doesn't take long. As for the video you just wait till it's finished playing it will tell you to press the guide button, click enter and it will take you to the dashboard.

@TChain : That should all be fixed now in the 720p gotham version, if it still crashed could you send me a copy of your XBMC log and i might be able to find the problem.

@Trugamr : You don't need to extract any of the modules yourself. If you have run through the setup on the first time using this skin then it will do it itself.



I haven't been able to work much on this skin recently because I've been busy with lots of work.
I have still been updating & fixing things when i can and i should hopefully be releasing an update soon.
I am currently updating the interface to match the Xbox One August Dashboard update and i have also added some new social features that you can see on the video below :

There is now a news feed,
You can post a status,
You can share, like and comment on anyones status,
You can add friends and link their email address to their profile,
Send messages to an address or to a friends profile.

I am also looking in to integrating your Facebook news feed in to this skin using Python.

At the moment it only stores it locally but i am looking in to the pyfacebook module and trying to integrate social media features in to XBMC. Such as posting a status, viewing other peoples status, liking, commenting sharing posts ect.

Firstly, I thank you for your great work and effort in helping to bring the Xbox One UI to XBMC. This is by far one of the most complete and inclusive skins I have ever used.

Secondly, I have a few issues or questions about the skin.

1) The Xbox One logo at the top right is cropped on the sides; i.e. it is not a complete circle, rather has cut edges on the sides

2) How do I add your custom apps (like your custom youtube, Skype, etc) to the home pins

3) Can I enable auto sign in

4) When I launch xbmc and sign in, the main home screen window (the one that changes based on what you launch) doesn't show a featured game or video like in some of your videos.

5) Can the home screen show some of the installed games from advanced launcher in the featured section or similar?

6) When playing a video, if I head home, it appears in the main home window between the tiles, however when I click it to reopen the video, it doesn't open properly; i.e. the top and bottom areas of the video still show the home screen

7) Even though I can change the tile colours, when I open some sections (like settings for example), the splash screen for it is green then black and breaks the colour scheme.

8) Finally, perhaps you could add the Xbox One intro video to the skin when it opens, I've seen an add-on for some skins that can use video for splash screens.

Overall, great and fantastic skin, I look forward to continuing to use it and build my xbmc/gaming desktop around it. Sorry for all the questions.

p.s. imagine if steam had open sources for its friends and store so that they could be incorporated into xvmc
