I have followed the install instructions on the wiki.

I am fairly confident the install was done correctly because I have gotten xbmc to work on another PC. When I run the xbmc.exe the following windows error is thrown, "XBMC has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

No log file gets created and I am not sure what the problem is. If anyone can provide any insight or ideas I would really appreciate it. Thanks alot.

It seems to be an issue for some users including myself in the recent builds. Going back to an older build from March I can get it to run just fine. The build from this post worked for me, http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=176...stcount=31.
