However I wanted the layout on the main menu to open up like how it does for Movies/TV Shows into its own window with the
favourite "short cuts" as tiles in it. This is how it is designed in the skins - Ace and Amber. Currently the favourites just slides out
like how it does when you click the "favourites" star icon at lower left corner.
Would it be possible?
Appreciate the effort.

Okay I get you. TBH probably will not do that. "Vanila" favourites in Kodi come with a hugh lack of information and really are just designed to be shown in a plain old list eg: the slide out window. I have messed around before wth layouts and windows before but have never been happy with the results. Backgrounds/Fanart are one issue and also favourites are not limited to one type of media eg:Albums. So they will never have a "library" type view but will always be a "files" type view.

U're welcome - Doesn't hurt to ask and TBH I sometimes need reminding, these threads grow a bit fast and ideas get lost.

Looking closely at your latest edition of this skin so far, it is coming along nicely. Thanks for the hard work so far.

I do have a couple things I thought I'd share.

1. Could you add a 'Skin Settings' submenu item under 'System,' and/or in the main menu screen of 'Settings'?
2. Is there supposed to be an 'Enable Kodi Intro Movie' under both 'Skin settings > Scripts Options > Music Physical Folder' and '... > Startup window'?
3. Could you add an Aspect Ratio OSD button? Probably something to ask later.
4. Reading above, seems like you have trouble, but I'm another who'd love 10 submenu options. I use them all, actually. Scrolling's fine.
5. Support for script.extendedinfo would be amazing. But that's probably later: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=160558
6. Thought I'd share a font. It works with non-Latin characters, and if you check out the sizes I tweaked I prefer it over 'Larger Font Size':

7. Finally, if interested in some more backgrounds, here are the ones I use for some of my Main Menu Item Backgrounds:

Hey Mudislander. Thanks for the great theme. I used it almost from the beginning since installing Frodo. I have noticed in the new version that the option Show Background "Now Playing" Video no longer seems to work in the new skin. Once I exit from fullscreen while a video is playing, I can hear the video but the background is the default. It does work on the stock Confluence theme. Any idea how to fix that?

Update - Ok. Nevermind. I got a lot of the behavior of the old skin back by selecting Revamp as the theme under Appearance - Settings. It may have been set that way when I was running Frodo... I can't remember. Thanks!

Uploaded your latest changes from github and am finding that I can't access video nodes from within the add-on shortcuts menu. Is that something you're still working on, or is it an option that requires a lot of coding and slows the skin down too much?

Cheers

1. Sure - I actually have a shortcut to skinsettings there on my system. Can put one in as default.
2. No - When I got up this morning and saw the Intro movie I got excited and threw it in Smile Next time I'll check the code !!
3. I presume so if other skins can do it. Will check into it when I get a chance. None of those files have been edited yet.
4. Funny thing - I updated the submenu code a day or 2 ago so that it could take more than 6 items, but thinking about "mouse users" is why I didn't finish it off. I could add scroll buttons on the sides. Any way seems popular request so I'll chuck it in.
5. Support for script.extendedinfo - Okay but when I get to those files
6. At work now so will look at the font when I get home. Tentivly not too fussed over font so will go with what's popular (Unless I deem them horrible)
7.Backgrounds - Getting a few suggestions now, so maybe let a few more comments roll in about what users prefer.

Actually there is a problem with backgrounds - The code is not yet complete, so some stuff will show while others doesn't. Earmarked for this weekend to finish off along with a repo - I hope.

Hello Mudislander.

I don't find where to download your skin?

Is it 100% compatible with PVR section of Kodi?

Thank for your job!

Mudislander, if you can video nodes to add-on shortcuts that would be great!

ATM this MOD is not ready for general use, however the more adventuous types can find a copy at https://github.com/Mudislander/skin.ccm.helix but beware there still are issues with running the MOD.

The PVR section is exactly the same as default Confluence. All this MOD has is the ability to change the main menu page.

I hope to have a repo up this weekend where it'll be easier to install and self updating.

Hi Mudislander,

CCM for Helix looks great and thank you very much for your hard work.

Would it be possible to incorporate an option to change the size of the widgets to big and increase number to 6 ?
(they look rather small on the big screens)

Like this

Image

Also, is it possible to have 10 addons on the bottom (like in the picture) ?

P.S. This is a screenshot of 'Confluence Modified Skin for Gotham by Jezz-X, modifications by SpaceMonkey'

Sorry no to the addons, have just upgraded to 7 addons per item making a total of 70

Also the large widgets are not to my taste, but will leave the idea open for others to comment if they like them or not

OK, no problem then, regarding 7 addons...

As of large widgets, I meant to have an option in the skin settings to switch to large widgets or leave them default size.
(like I saw it as an option in some other skin settings... can't remember which one )

Thanks.

I noticed that the highlighted menu choice when it starts is the second from the left not the third as usual.
Thanks for enabling "Movies in Progress" feature.
