ok, I have a beginner question.
I would like to use a couple backgrounds of my own for some of the menus I have created. I added my backgrounds to the skins background folder. When going to the skin background artwork setting>I pick the created background path heading> Go down to single image> which brings me to a file folder system to browse for my background> it gives 2 options root file and external storage> I try to browse to where tbe actual skins background folder is on my system sdcard/android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files....... now I know that kodi is in a hidden folder .kodi that doesnt show but how can I browse to it to get to the addons/skin/backgrounds?
Does that make sense?

I could put the images in a folder I can get to but if I ever want to back up my addons/userdata then they will be lost..correct?

I think it's best not to put personal backgrounds in the skin folder - you'll probably lose them on any skin updates as the skin folder gets overwritten.

Otherwise I don't actually use xbmc on Android apart to check once in a while that it's actually working. You'd probably get better help with the guys who regularly use Android.

Read you're post too quickly & at first glance it looked like it was taking 3.5 seconds to change the background.

Actually these backgrounds have been a problem, my fault for stealing code from CCM & Hybrid - would have been better to bite the bullet and rewrite the whole lot.

I'll get to the Artist info but a couple of things I'd like to do first.

Actually I don't know why I added ArtistSlideShow to the Home Screen, I think it should be reserved for fullscreen playback and just have the fanart & maybe extrafanart on Home.

I also don't believe the home fanart should be animated again only for fullscreen playback. Unfortunately I did it without thinking and probably would get requests for it back if I removed it.

1 ive lowered the main bar but is there a way to get it all the way to the bottom ?

2 I got everything else set up now but would like the extra boxs showing videos or tv files how do I get that cant figure it out sorry

Not showing files from my USB hard drive. When I go to them there's nothing there using Video mode.
If I use Movies or TV Shows I get the content from my library. Using System, File Manager they are there,
Changed to Confluence and all OK .
I think everything was alright before the last update.
Is there a chance that I've turned something off/on in the skin settings .

But i´ve missing two things that were integrated in the old confluence custom mod skin.

1. In the Menue where you could choose a widget or addon, for example "Videos" / Favorites aren´t more available.Only random movies............

2. I liked the Coverflow, would be possible to integrate those somedays.

1 - No, only one low setting
2 - Boxes on top are widgets - Media needs to be scanned into database & then set required widget from SkinSettings-->Home Menu Items-->Widget Set

SkinSettings-->HomeMenuItems-->Select your MenuItem -->"Videos Menu"-->"Videos - Files"

See if that helps.

Would users of the git versions who also use a mouse try out the Enable Manual Slide Menu ***Testing Mad Idea*** option and get back to me.

It's a proof of concept idea that requires you to actually click the slide menu tab to open or close the side menu in media views. Very rough ATM and not advised if not using a mouse but need to find the issues on a wider user base than my laptop

Think there maybe a slight glitch with this, I've just enabled the above, and now there is no image when "Video" is scrolled over, Weather, System etc all work though.

Enable Global Backgrounds turned off, and Video is set to the default image in the Backgrounds tab.

Nope, if however I change the Programs default to a single image then yes, it works. Video not though, must be something to do with changing the Video opening now to Files?

No - not in repo, Only on Git ATM - needs a bit of refinement before adding to repo - or deleting

Top of the list to look into, things like this do catch me out as I have everything added to Kodi Database so never use file options.
