Agree, love the Home Menu as shown in the OP. I'm sure Jurial thinks about alternative Home Menus

If you do add icons please make it an option. I personally don't like it, to me it takes away from just how slick this skin is.

You actually test it on latest git version. Still a few bugs that I need to fix up and only works for movies/tvshow type widgets (this is the same with the other widget style too -- just need to get around to adding music widgets).

Also, is there any chance of something similar to the Lovefilm view from Mk II at some point in the future? I used that for the episode view so much that I may possibly have spent a ridiculous amount of time making 1280x720 thumbnails for several thousand episodes... not that I'm obsessive or anything

When you put the weather widget into the header it would look more modern, like eminence, i guess. (Somthing soft and colorless)
What do you mean?



Why do you not integrate the clock something like this? Maybe push the the stars also and put the weather over the clock.

spitballing a few ideas you've likely have already tried. i wonder if it might look better if the space between the bottom panel and the poster panel was removed. maybe then have the plot information slide up from between them. i like how the home screen cycles the through the movies/shows. it was a little strange to press up and not have the first poster highlighted like it is in mkii but after thinking about it it seems right to have it the way you have it now.

a small request. any chance of getting a version of the fade covers from mkii coupled with the dark theme at some point?

Yeah I'm on the fence about which item to focus onup... I could force the first one, but then you lose the spot you were on and you cant press up to select the movie that the fanart is etc.

Fade covers are a maybe, but not priority right now.

What about something like this for not having spaces... You can try it on latest git commit -- let me know what you think. I'm not sure if it makes the navigation more confusing or not.

just gave it a try and i like it much better with the spaces eliminated. i use the disable header option and it's nice to see a bit more of the fanart.

i seem to have been unclear regarding onup. originally i was expecting the first selection to be highlighted like in mkii but definitely think it makes the most sense to select whatever was being featured in the widget. so not proposing anything there, just an observation.

A couple of things I was wondering:

• Will there be a feature to adjust the transparency of the header and footer 'bars'? I'd like to see more of the artwork without it being chopped off.
  
• I do not see an option to customize the header text. I'd like to rename "Home" to "Druflix" like I have done in eminence.
  
• Is there an option to auto-adjust font sizes in the main menu? For example, I created a Main Menu item/shortcut with custom label "Documentaries", but the screen only displays "Docume..."
  
• I like to tinker, so I switch back and forth between this skin and eminence. But each time I make the switch, I have to reapply the color scheme in each skin; the skin color setting doesn't seem to stick.
  
• Any chance for an option to relocate the weather widget, to say inside the header, or included within the clock/time section? While I want to view the weather, it seems to be a little distracting, and my eyes seem to wander to it...like looking at a pimple in the mirror as a teenager.
  
• For Videos, I have the Playback option set as "choose", but I seem to only be presented with 'play', and not a secondary option to 'resume' when I've already stopped a show some time into it.
  
• For the Main Screen "Spotlight", I see there is an option to cycle through "Movie Spotlight" and "TV Show Spotlight" (or something similar, sorry I'm not in front of my TV). This otion is to cycle through one of the other. Can there be an option to cycle through BOTH together, so the spotlight will display both movies AND TV Shows?
  

I'm still very much liking this skin. Your hard work and time do not go unappreciated.

I also disagree. The header setting is optional. I'm not using the header, thus when moving the weather widget inside the header I won't have the weather widget at all.

Maybe jurial can switch the background from the fullscreenplayback also in black and white like the rest of the skin?!
