hi,

i am just wondering... isn't xbmc building some kind of a library when scanning directories and network shares for mp3s? my build of xbmc seems to scan the entire directories upon browsing music library (or what i should call it). how exactly does this work? i would think xbmc built a library with pointers/shortcuts to files when scanning, but now it seems that it's scanning each time. is this correct?

also, i see a lot of pointers to the q: drive. well, i haven't a q: drive. is this a problem?

q: is the same as your home directory..(the dir you installed xbmc in)
