I like to thank you for all the effort you are putting in on this project your information is clear and to the point.

I'm not so sure on the usage of the driver I read through the read me It had config and other relvent info, but nothing about what do with the files. Ie how to install and run the driver which seems to be left up to my instincts and the problem is I don't have any.

so any help would be welcomed

not sure if ive done the install correctly or not, but should 1.6 drivers provided here work on latest rev13859?

ive installed the drivers, and the remoteserver app, checked the webserver option on xbmc for windows, and changed the ip addy from 127.0.0.1 to local correct ip.

i still get no action from the remote.

btw windows sees the remote, and installs xbcd driver.(im using bought usb ->xbox adapter

any help will be much appreciated.

I think this might help.
The source code for the drivers is also available.
And additional files to support more remote controllers are available here, don't think there is a source available of this though...

I hope this helps.

1-Connect the IRDA XBOX in the USB PORT
2- INSTAL THE DRIVER in the folder setup
3-RESTART

Thanks Mode2006,

i tried to uninstall both remote client and xbmc, and reboot, and reinstall both apps, and then reboot, then start apps in order, and still no luck.

not sure if this can help for you or not.

Thanks in advance,

Mode2006,

thanks for the updated drivers etc....

i uninstalled the drivers, reinstalled with new ones.

now the task bar icon for RC shows "remote XBMC not connected" all the time.

and therefore it doesnt function in xbmc.

ill try the usb drivers shown as seperate link on your website next, i used the ones included in the remote app dir for this attempt

sorry to be such a pain.

seems not all xbox 1 remote IR recievers were not created equal.

i had no luck no matter what i tried with the reciever, then i tried my other IR reciever(genuine MS one), and it worked first go.

strange thing is, the transmitters are interchangable with each other on xbox.

anyhow, thanks for all your help Mode2006.

No you are correct, they are not. You obviosly need to original one from Microsoft.
