i wonder what are the pros and cons of compiling VDR + plugins (vnsi-server, live, streamdev, epgfixer, dvbapi) OR to use a ppa and install from there, for example aap https://launchpad.net/~aap

It seams easier to use the ppa, and easier to update, but I would really like to know the pros and cons for each way.
