Any ideas why -FS give a completely black screen?
I'm running Vista x64 SP2, 4GB RAM, Nvidia 8600GTS

though I know for me the vista version only started working well 2 releases ago. so I'm leaning toward the os. Since you card should be able to whip xbmc with a stick.

I'm using the latest compiled release.
That build also crashes quite a bit still... especially when playing videos. XBMC.exe throws exception and it crashes.
Does anyone have a newer build compiled that I can try?

Which device drivers (exactly) are you using for you graphic card?, ...as always; post a debug log.

I had some trouble with 3D overlay a while back...if I remember right, I had to turn off "triple buffering" in my video card manager to get it to work full-screen.

Same problem with a Nvidia GeForce 6150SE. Windows Media Center. 1 GB RAM.
