I''m wondering if anyone experiences these things bc it started when I switched from the default skin to ccm.

1. Booting up - I sometimes have to load Kodi 3-4 times in order to get in. What happens is Kodi attempts to load (logo appears) and then it kicks me back to the Android menu. It does this with 14.1 and 14.2. Sometimes it boots first attempt but most of the time I have to load the Kodi icon several times to even get in.
2. When I click Movies, Music, etc...the options menu auto pops up on the left hand side at random times, no idea why this happens.

What size images is everyone using for the background? I have 1920x1080 and they look pixelized. Wondering what others are using.

I have the same issues to the letter using spmc 14.1 or 14.2 except my back ground images are fine at 1080 I think you are maybe using an up scale android box like the mxq? in that case try using 720 pics
I think it maybe the video that's not agreeing with android. I am going to look at the logs next time this happens, something I've been meaning to do now for some time..

Yeah I just posted the same thing two posts ago. Only thing I didnt mention was Kodi sometimes closing during launch, but I am having the issue as well.

I'd say the view option auto-opening is the worst of the two but at least it only happens once after Kodi starts. After you close it the first time it doesnt auto open again (at least from my experience).

I've just installed CCM on a new build and I can't see the option to add a selected favorite to the add on section or submenu is there a way to enable this or has this feature been removed because I can see the option in my old build. Thank you in advance.

You're posting in the right place.
The option is still there, but you need to scroll down the list (on the right of your screen) to see it - it's 5th from the bottom.

Is there any support for this theme? Does anyone have any clue or idea at all on how to fix the below issues I posted earlier?

These issues are beyond annoying and I'm basically going to change themes if there are no fixes for it. Very frustrated, I spent weeks customizing my ccm helix theme. I never had any of these issues with the original confluence.

I guess people don't have the issues you have - I don't, on android / windows / openelec - so are unable to guess at what the problem might be - and whether it's related to CCM.
It would take 2 minutes to switch to the default skin, test and see whether the issue goes away.
It would take 5 minutes to sort out a de-bug log.
Both of those would make it easier for you to understand and describe the problem and for people to offer advice.

I believe a couple other users were experiencing similar issues. I can post a debug for you all to analyze. I don't have any of the issues with other skins including the original confluence...just with CCM. Let me get that debug.

That's definitely popping up the wrong window, looks like maybe the "Are you sure you want to hide Settings" from Hybrid Dev. Files have got mixed up somewhere down the line. Who else has this problem ? - because I don't.

using ver. 3.0.15 on Kodi helix 14.2 installed on Rpi2.
after a day of using and tweaking the submenus - I started to get this ("enable clearArt and...") too

I USED to have the problem of Kodi starting and force closing on my UT2 Android boxes and I think I also would see that issue of the sidebar just popping out too. The startup issue has not stopped but has been greatly diminished in frequency since I did 2 things, installed Kodi 14.2 (from Kodi.tv/download) as SPMC caused MY hardware a lot of small problems. I also got an update from Ugoos recently for the FW and that has seemed to help as well. These are the only two things I have changed on my UT2's.

I have read that multi-window support on some Android devices that have it, needs to be disabled.

I'm no Kodi expert by any means but here are some things you might try if you want:

1 - Maybe update your android FW if there is an update available
2 - Copy/backup or simply rename your current kodi folder, the entire thing, to a safe place so you can copy it back later if you need to. Then delete it from your android device so you can start over fresh. If you rename it you won't need to delete it Kodi will create a new one.
3 - Install Helix 14.2 from kodi.tv
4 - Install CCM for Helix from the HERE (the link to the repo from the 1st post in this thread)

See if it works OK now. Don't take any short cuts doing this...like copying addons or other items from your backup kodi folder from line 2 above.
I may have missed it but I don't recall seeing any specifics as to the device brand and model or what Android version or what chipset these devices are using....the info might help if mudislander comes along to try and help. It also would be great for a debug log to be available for him or someone else to look at. The forum log shows his last time online here was 05-20-2015. So he may be busy with other things, like work

Yeah, I think this is definitely device related rather than skin related since I also occasionally get this 'starting and force closing' problem on my old iPad1, but for example never on my windows machine.

I also agree that this problem is much less apparent since updating to Kodi Helix 14.2, and CCM Helix 3.0.15

When I Manually change the guisettings.xml, Specifically the Addon Shortcut menu, and after I restart Kodi to apply the changes, It goes back to What it was before the change, In order to get around this
I made two guisettings.xml

guisettings.xml (Current in use) and a second
guisettings.xml (replacement with different Settings)

any idea why when I replace the (current) guisettings.xml with the (replacement) guisettings.xml,

restart kodi it goes back to the previous (current) guisettings.xml

You can't overwrite guisettings.xml while kodi's running, because when it shuts down it will write the current version back to your disk. Is that about what's happening?

Yeah, Thats exactly whats happenning.

If I shut down kodi then copy the new guisettings.xml and start kodi it works.

I am writing a script to replace guisettings.xml. So my next question is this,

If I log out of Kodi then change the guisettings.xml and log back in, would that work. Is the login Screen part of CCM too?

If it is....what would be the work around to achieve this?
