Hi
Forums been a great help to me in the past so Ill ask again
Love CCM, its only skin I use and just works brilliantly, however I have one question / quirk
I have a few smart playlists setup - one for movies that are "to be watched" (although they may be movies marked as "watched", for example a film I saw years back but want see again etc)
I have these smart playlists set as favourites, and then a link on my menu to that favourite
Anyway, when I select that I get the list of movies - but I am limited as to how they can be displayed and how they are sorted. They seem to be sorted with the most recent added to the top of the list and I cant sort any other way
What I would like is to have this particular list sorted by year of release
I get display my smartlist in numerous ways, list, long list, thumbnails etc but the sort function is greyed out
Is this possible with advanced settings etc ?

I'm guessing it's something to do with linking to a favourite - only because I use playlists for films and TV on the home screen and I've never seen that problem.
Is there any reason why you're not linking directly to the playlists in skin settings?

Hmm, I wish I could answer
I guess because im not 100% sure what doing
I thought I was onto a winner linking to the favourite, (that took me some trial and error) so not sure how link directly to the playlist

Ah, found the option to add playlist to main menu, but my custom playlist not listed
Just have the option for skin default ones or "watch it later"
If I add the watch it later one and then select that it shows my 2 playlists I have created (one for movies one for TV) - and then when i select them it just lists them with no way to change how viewed or sorted

Did you make your playlists in kodi?
Are they sitting in the userdata / playlists / video folder?
Edit:
Hang on, I think I see what's up.
To do what you want you need to create smart playlists.
It sounds like you've made basic playlists.

I made the playlist by going using the "watch later" function and just adding the movie / tv show to each one
not sure where stored sorry

See my edit.
A basic playlist (which you've made) is a list of stuff to play in order. Hence you can't change the order when you view it.
To do that you need to create smart playlists.

Cheers
How would I create a smart playlist, but be able to keep it "simple" (bad word I know) but just adding items one at a time to it
For example one of my playlists is season openers, and when new show comes up I currently just use "watch it later" and add it to that playlist
Similar with the movies one
appreciate help and sorry for being dumb
I can perhaps see how to do it for TV shows as I could use the "not watched" status but not sure with movies as some of the movies I want to watch, may be marked as watched already

It really depend on how you organize your media - all the fields are listed in the wiki, so it's a case of finding the easiest way for your situation.
I do it all with folders and paths, which is very simple but doesn't sound like what you want.
I've no experience with them - but my first thought would be to use tags.

Can I get just the poster or thumb to show up in OSD, rather than having it overlapped on the logo as shown? That's the only bug that also bothers me atm... I already reported this issue twice. Since Mudislander seems to be gone (last login was a month ago) I fear that we won't
see any updates on CCM any time soon
