I installed on my iPad the Official Kodi app from the Apple App Store. It works just fine and I interface with the Kodi server. However, I can't find a way to search for movies by typing in a title. I can filter by Genre but I can't find a search.

i guess you are refering to the Official Kodi Remote. In that case you are in the wrong forum. Moved to the correct one.

I figured out how to search. You need to pull down on the listing of movies and then the search bar appears.
