I am having a hang on starting XBMC the top bar, logo, bottom bar and background come in and then it hangs for as long as 30s seconds.

after that the media category's, setting and file manger fly in and the GUI is usable and responsive

this is using rev14660 for the log I first noticed this problem after installing rev14546 and the last build it loaded quickly on was rev14420.

for this test I just started moved the mouse around a bit when it became responsive and then exited.

AMD 3000+ 64 bit
(ati)all in wonder 9200SE
1 gig of ram
windows xp pro 32 bit service pack two

I have been affected in the past with black screen on video playback that some cards were having.

will post to track if that would be helpful.

it looks like you have a disc in your DVD drive. try taking it out.

I feel a fool now I had indeed put a dvd in my drive too day so I took it out no change to load time sill about 30 seconds.

I was about to post another log when thought I better check my Damon tools drives which were both mounted. I unmounted them and xbmc loaded in about 2 seconds them iso's have probably been there for last two weeks or so.
