Had a quick look. I think it has something to do with the Trakt rating dialog after each show.
I guess you have it enabled in the Trakt settings? I also guess that the dialog didn't show for the first episodes (E02 & E03)?

Could you retry with the rating dialog switched off?

Ok, so I started S01E01 and then skipped to the end and let nextup start E02. I then did the same for E02 and E03 and E04.
All four episodes were marked as watched in my Trakt history.

Noticed an issue.

If I have an episode that is partially watched, when I come back and watch the rest of it, at the end the next up notification isn't for the next episode but is instead for the one after that.

For example

I'm watching S01E14 (all episodes before 14 are watched and all episodes after are unwatched), leave it part way through. Come back later and finish watching S01E14. At the end Next Up queues up S01E16 instead of S01E15.

Most likely s01e04 was not marked as being watched.

If I have an episode that is partially watched, when I come back and watch the rest of it, at the end the next up notification isn't for the next episode but is instead for the one after that.

For example

I'm watching S01E14 (all episodes before 14 are watched and all episodes after are unwatched), leave it part way through. Come back later and finish watching S01E14. At the end Next Up queues up S01E16 instead of S01E15.

I've noticed it 3 or 4 times or so.

It isn't all that often I part watch an episode and then come back to finish it off and then have time to watch another one (young twins at home).

I'm afraid I wasn't paying enough attention to notice whether it seemed linked to how much of the part watched episode I had watched or anything like that.

First of all thumbs up for the developer of this addon!! I'm new to Kodi and i'm setting up my first Rpi2 with Kodi and have installed this plugin as well as the plugin from trakt.tv. I've noticed that when the trakt.tv plugin is enabled the notification for the next episode isn't showing. When i disable trakt.tv the notification is poping up. Anyone got an idea what is going wrong?

I am interested in adding support for the Next Up script for Kodi DSPlayer. DSPlayer is its own branch of Kodi, which uses a custom media player that supports DirectShow filters and the madVR video renderer. The Kodi experience remains identical; only the media player is changed.

Previously, with Isengard Beta 2, initiating the script by selecting Play would cause the player to stop, return to Kodi for a moment and then play the next video. However, with Isengard RC1, selecting Play to start the script leads to a black screen as the player attempts to load the next episode. DSPlayer is incapable of playing the next video without encountering a black screen. Kodi must be closed manually at this point.

I know adding support for DSPlayer could be tricky because the player is composed of two separate programs: Kodi and the madVR video renderer. So, whenever a video is played, madVR is closed on playback stop and Kodi is reopened. The script seems to be failing when the current video is stopped.

My question is whether support for Next Up should be requested in this thread or forwarded the maintainer of DSPlayer?

I've posted over at the DS player thread too and hope one of you can see something in the log that's not supposed to happen upon the black screen freeze. (When count down to new episode is over or when you click "Play" in the add-on.)

@Razze - thanks again for the latest pull requests, I'll put up a new version soon in the Kodi repo. Personally I am working on creating a new skin for Kodi so I'm afraid I'm not finding much time to provide support here so thanks for assisting.
