Hello, IF XBMC is supposed to be able to use a MCE remote how would you get it to work on a computer that isn't a MCE unit? People have to know some were!
Thanks, Viper

I Could be u have a Philips remote, the new edition is Vista only.
And unfortunately there is still now way to get it working on xp.
So check the remote, if u have an other device check the green button forum for replacement drivers or use HIP to control XBMC.

As Lament Configuration has stated, the Philips remote (newer VMC style), is not supported in XP. (At least no matter what I tried.). I even modified the inf in the driver to reflect the device/PID of my *USB device in device manager, but still no luck....

Viper_Bravo,
I tried the process identifed in chadoe's post. Unfortunately for me, my device is VMC specific it seems. I am sure it would work if my receiver was from the XP MC days... Please let us know if it worked for you, and if so, any deviations from the original article that you took to get it to work.
