I'm a heavy user of CCM Helix and would like to switch to this one, but I have a few problems.

1. The font size used is too small. Helix supported a "Big" font setting that made it the most useful of all the skins for aging eyes.

2. My guisettings.xml file has a unique and complex arrangement of menus and submenus, where some menus including "TV Shows" are actually running playlists (as a means to filer mature content). It would take me a week to recreate it. I could really use something that imports the CCM Helix definitions for menus, submenus, and playlists (and video and subtitle settings) into the guisettings for this one.

3. I can't seem to find a way to turn off the "recently" or "recommended" floating movies and TV shows on the main menu. I like an empty screen except for the menu bar. Otherwise the backgrounds have little value.

And since Isengard, both skins seem to not display the indicator that a whole season of a series has been watched. Only individual episodes or the entire show are indicated.

I wish this rewrite had maintained backward compatibility or importing of the CCM Helix guisettings.xml file.

In CCM for Helix the fonts are changed in size by the "Appearance" section of the Settings menu. Under "Appearance" you will find Skin>Fonts with up/down arrows. Click the arrow and wait a second and the font will change. "Larger Font Size" is the biggest there is in CCM Helix.

In CCM For Helix these are called "Widget Sets" In the Skin Settings go to "Home Menu Items". For each item there is a widget set. Just clear the setting by clicking on the widget set and then "Clear Menu Option"

Hi there, I'm wondering if someone can help me with an issue I'm having.
I use CCM for Helix with a rooted Android tv box. Everything is amazing, but for whatever reason, with CCM, when I press the power button on the remote control to set the box to sleep/suspend, when it powers back up, it always powers back up to the exit/skin settings dialogue. This only happens in this skin and I've found no way to turn it off (the others just shut off). This is by far my favourite skin and I don't want to change to anything, I just want to fix this issue. Any suggestions would be amazing as I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Edit: I have temporarily fixed the problem as the power button on the remote, besides being mapped to turn off the box, is also mapped to kodi's "s" button which brings up the shut down menu. I remapped the key in kodi so that took care of it. I'm still wondering though, if there was an option somewhere that I was overlooking.

Thanks for this skin! I'm a very late adaptor to Helix. I'd been holding on with Frodo using Confluence Modified until yesterday. I'd love to use this skin, but it seems way too slow on the hardware I'm using: A Linux-based Pivos DS Media Play. Just with the default set up, it takes several seconds to go from one view back to the home screen. [edit: not that bad, only sometimes has such a bad lag.] Still, any obvious suggestions for cutting out unnecessary processing?

The main question I have right now is how to integrate a shortcut to the "Categories" add-on. I've tried including that add-on in a custom add-on set, and associating that with Videos. But unfortunately, selecting that then brings up a menu to choose video/music/program categories. That's not what I want. I want to jump straight to the video categories. According to the add-on release thread, the command would need to be:

Ideally, I'd like to get that into a sub menu of Videos, next to "Add-Ons" and call it "Categories"

Edit 1: I see that you can assign a "Kodi Command" to a submenu. That's clearly what I need. However, the GUI seems to have a typo bug here. Both the "command" and the "label" have text to the effect of "edit label" at the top of the text entry dialog. So it's confusing to know which is which. I just entered some dummy info for both and am manually editing guisettings.xml. About to test it.

A big HOWEVER, however, is that now skin settings don't seem to be saving across reboot. I'm not sure if it's due to that change or other changes I made in favourites.xml. Permissions are 777 so I don't think that's the reason.

Edit 3: Wow I'm good at answering my own questions I now do think the not-saving problem was due to a syntax error I made in editing favourites.xml, and now that that is fixed, skin settings are sticking again.

Conclusion so far is I got what I need working, but there is still the bug I reported in Edit 1.

That is my issue; your large font is not as large as the old CCM skin. Can yo make "Larger Font Size" bigger please?

Yes; I want to keep my existing menu, submenu and playlist definitions intact in the switch over to CCM Helix

ADDITIONAL

Since Isenguard (final release included), for any skin I use (on OSX) and any panel selection, the "watched" indicators don't show up for the entire series. They appear on individual episodes, and seasons, but not for the show if the entire series has been watched. This is driving me nuts, as I can't tell what I've seen and not seen without diving down. The "Recently added" helps a little, but often because that list is limited an item is pushed off the edge before I see it.

Selecting "set as watched" at the series level does change the indicators at the season and episode level, but does not make it appear at the show level. A complete series reset "ignoring local data" does not fix it either.

Anyone have a solution for making watched work at the show level again? Is this addressable at the skin level (if the skin decided to display it or not if the seasons are are watched).

I got this set up really nicely, thanks again for this skin! Current questions:

1. how can the timer of the background image changes (for multi-image) be adjusted? It's just a little too frequent for my tastes.

2. is it possible to re-order the submenu items without re-assigning each one in the desired order?

3. there seems to be a bug in the Suggested Movies widget, such that one of the thumbnail images doesn't render (grey rectangle) until you select it. Then once de-selected, grey again.

Guys, read the recent posts in this thread. CCM Helix has been forked to Xonfluence already and updated for Isengard. I have had the same problem as others that when browsing through video addon for movies, my preference is to use thumbnail view. Can I set this as default

Is there a way to display a user defined background image while listening to Music in full screen? The only options I see are to choose a visualization. I've also tried different options in the System Menu, but there does not seem to be an options for that. If I change the background image for Music, it displays that image while in the Music menu, but once I select full screen it reverts back to a blank screen (unless I choose a visualization).

Hey guys,

I just swapped to this skin today. Love it so far, only one issue... It's probably me being stupid and totally missing something but when I go into my usual add on for TV shows (Genesis and SALTS) I don't get any episode info on the right. I used to get the plot and a screenshot from the highlighted episode but since upgrading to this skin it's just the main cover image for the show I'm on.

Any ideas?
