Idle CPU usage related to OpenGL driver?

Got thesame results
Try an old nvidia driver. I tried 81.92 and found that changing vsync did work

It looks like a driver opengl call thing

Odd thing is, it seems to be ATI related, but I have 2 nvidia and one Intel IGP

Same thing happens here on three Nvidia-based PCs. Two have Nvidia 8200 integrated graphics, Vista X64, and 177.89 driver. The third has an 8600M GT graphics chip, Vista 32-bit, and 156.10 driver.

Thanks for all the tests you do but we're at a loss atm. This problem is trac'ed and we're looking into it but don't hold your breath.
That is the disadvantage compared to the xbox. Latter one was a closed system with almost the same specs for everyone.

Yup, that way the old xbox was easier Wink

I have an intel/nvidia based laptop running Vista and have never seen this issue. Thats the same for my other intel/ATI computer running XP Pro SP2.

So this is prolly not a "easy" issue to track down. I gonna keep a close watch for this bug and report if i find anything. But the issue has to be reproduced in a stable matter. only then it can get debugged and fixed i guess.
