XBMS install?

does anyone have a guide of setting up (and compiling) xbms? i have a redhat 9 server running and would like to run xbms on it but i have no idea where to start. there's a .c-file and 2 .diff files which probably have to be merged (how?) then compiled (how?) and probably some config settings? in one word: help Smile

download it from one of the mirrors on http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/xbmc/...p?download

the 2 patches have already been applied to the server.c, so you can delete them.
just type "make" to compile (did you read the install textfile?).
edit xbms.conf, put it in /etc. then run ./xbms. read the readme file for help with commandline options.

i was wondering where the install textfile was. i only had the c diff en conf files. the app (izarc) i opened the package with didn't show files without an extension Huh got it now, compiling was very easy Smile
now when i choose xbms in xbmc it takes some time to come up with two dots but no files, at the same time the server says "connection closed", no errors in the logfile (even set it to level 2). the user it runs as has full permissions on the directory and full persmissions on the files, any ideas?

nice to know xns is the bookmark in xboxmediacenter.xml which should be set instead of the xbms bookmark when using xbms (does it make sence?).....
