someone can test this version REMOTEXBMC2.0 for X10 remote control : here
1/start REMOTEXBMC 2.0 = the file .ini is generate
2/ shutdown REMOTEXBMC 2.0 and edit the file INI
3/restart

Edit the ini file for X10 only:

[X10 REMOTE.CONTROL]
ACTIVE X10 REMOTECONTROL=FALSE < TRUE
X10VENDORID=&H <VENDORID
X10PRODUCTID=&H <PRODUCTID

Thank for the report.

REPlace the keymap file to the system folder on XBMC

Hi,

first of all thanks. Smile

It is not working on my setup.

I have:
Windows XP Service Pack 3
XBMC Alpha 4
Toshiba PX1246E-1ETC X10 Remote

I didn't know the vendor/product ID's and I believe I've found the good ones on windows hardware information pane.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do to test it.

Cheers

I installed this program, and it stuffed up my Microsoft MCE Remote which was synced correctly with IR Suite (i,e all the buttons worked). I then proceeded to uninstall this program but the damage is done. What do i do?

More than 50% of the buttons now don't work. Up, Down and Centre (the ok key) do not work. In addition play/pause, forward, backward etc do not work either. Also pressing the windows button brings up vista media centre instead of the context menu. What exactly does your program do?

If you used the keymap.xml from remotexbmc, restore your old one (from before you installed remotexbmc) after uninstalling remotexbmc.

I just installed and ran the app but no INI file is created? This is a brand new install of XP... did this last time too!
