Struggling to get Guide with Channel Logos
#1
I'm really stuck and could use the help of the experts here. I just got an HDHOMERUN Prime and its working really well. I've got WMC on Win7 and the My Channel Logos app has done a good job of creating the logos. Here's what my guide looks like on WMC. I'll get all the channel logos mapped out once I've solved this issue. But for now, I have enough mapped to work with...

Now after successfully configuring the client side on Kodi, I get this for my guide.

Not sure why the channel logos and such aren't coming down from ServerWMC.

Thanks in advance for the assistance...

can you please post a ServerWMC log on pastebin so we can see if it says anything of interest?

According to the log, its finding many channel logos:
2015/12/02 00:01:08.434 EchoStartupInfo CheckChannelIcons> Channel icons successfully processed: 438 (epg: 438, user: 0)

Other than that the log doesn't contain too much useful info. Mostly a lot of errors because you are watching your old recorded tv folder (C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV) and its not accessible by your networked client. Its okay to keep it this way, but at least go into this folder and delete the 'Sample Media' folder that is in there so you don't get these error messages (assuming of course that you don't want these files Smile).

Since it looks like it should be working though, maybe also try resetting the kodi tv database.

If you still have a problem, restart serverwmc, then kodi. When kodi is done downloading data, post the log again.

Still no luck! I stopped Kodi and ServerWMC.
I deleted the EPG and TV databases in Kodi, which effectively starts the PVR EPG guide download all over again.
I deleted the Sample Media directory, I don't use the C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV folder at all, so it shouldn't even be listed.
I restarted ServerWMC and let it load up.
I started Kodi and it loaded all the new EPG and Guide data, even picked up some channel changes I had made in WMC.

Same result, the Guide in Kodi is completely generic just as my original image post...

Here's the link to my pastbin log after all of the above:

and here is the KODI log as well

Thanks again for the help. Like I said, I've got no idea why this is happening...

Are there skin incompatibilities? Does the Client WMC require certain skins to have the guide work?

Good point about the skin. You should always be sure test with the default confluence skin and if they work there, have a chat with your skin author to support the channel logos being provided

Its the skin!

This is confluence. In Aeon Nox Silvo, it doesn't work. I'll have to post over on his forum...

Problem Solved. Was using Aeon Nox Silvo mod. There is an View Options panel accessible from the Channels screen that has a setting to turn on the logos. flipped it on, and all is good. Now its time to hunt down all the missing logos for FIOS in my area and load up WMC... Thanks for the help on this krusty and scarecrow. much appreciated.

I'm also having a problem of not seeing logos in the Guide. I see them fine if I go to Channels. I tried setting the skin to Confluence and I see them fine. I'm relatively new to Kodi and am using Estuary, which Kodi tells me is the default skin.  So it's working with Confluence, not the default skin, and "default confluence" implies to me that Confluence was once the default. But I'd like to know where to go from here, short of changing from the default skin now that I have everything else working.
