Bug in Source-Selection when having many drives?
#1
Hello!

Can anyone confirm this possible Bug?

- I am running the beta 1 from xbmc on vista, sp1 and have many partitions/drives, so that all drive letters up to "Q" are assigned to partitions, dvd-drives and card-reader.

- When I want to add a source to xbmc queue and I chose a drive behind drive "N:\", the drives aren't properly linked in xbmc.

Drive O:\ is linked to I:\
Drive P:\ to C:\users\....appdata\roaming\xbmc...
Drive Q:\ to E:\tools\XBMC, where xbmc is installed
and the second DVD-drive J:\ is linked to the first dvd drive I:\.

At the moment, it is not possible for me to access there drives in xbmc.

BR!

Yeah, other than O those are not bugs but 'design flaw' the from the Xbox days.

Feel free to submit a new feature request ticked on trac for getting rid of them.

thanks!
Will submit that later.

I wrote that O and J are linked to I.

I,J and O are all dvd drives but they are only linked to the first one.
So xbmc supports only the first drive with that "bug"?

Autostart and the tiny little DVD start button is only supposed to work with the first DVD/CD drive.
The other drives should show fine in the filemanager and under sources. If not than this is a bug and please trac it with screens and logfile.
I have only one drive so I can't reproduce it.

I do not think that XBMC maps I:\, J:\, O:\, so it is either a bug in XBMC or you have some other software (maybe DAEMON Tools?) that is linking those.

Please provide and debug log. Also, close XBMC and check if those drives are still mapped.

P:\, Q:\, X:\, Y:\, and Z:\ are all left overs from the Xbox version, a design flaw in all other versions.
