Hi,

I liked the look of this addon and was planning at some point to get some cameras for home security. I purchased two Foscam FI9804s and they hooked up very easily to my network and then this addon.

For the life of me i can not get the preview popup on Kodi to work. I have enabled motion detection in the camera settings and played with all the options in the addon, got a quick run down of what needs to be set to what?

I have been able to correct my issues with the preview. All cameras show up now. I did a fresh install of Kodi 16 Alpha and installed the addon and configured it. I noticed that if I Uninstall the addon, it still holds some camera settings the first time I go back in. For a while I was getting a black menu window on the left when trying to exit the preview. it corrected itself but it did it a lot. I remember seeing that the first time I set it up. Now all I want to do is find out how to map this to a button on the KORE remote to pull up my cameras with one button. I have been trying but all I can manage is go into the addon and launch all cameras. I use esc on a wifi full keyboard to go back to what I was watching. I love this addon. I added all cameras to my favorites but when I launch that I get a window in the middle opening stream. It doesn't happen when I launch all cameras from in the addon only when I add all cameras to my favorites and use that link. Please help.

I just noticed something today, when I am only using my touchscreen PC to control my Jarvis, I have the simulated mouse and could not esc the 2x2 preview grid. I would double click and click and hold and I was trapped in it with only a touchscreen mouse moving around. The esc key on the keyboard works great. Am I doing something wrong in the settings?

EDIT: MY FAULT, the User needs to have Admin Rights on the Camera to execute the getDevState Command. Its working now.

BTW: Why are Characters like "!" not supported for the Password? The Camera does allow them.

i have preview working but its black screen when it pops up. using foscam cameras, is there a fix for this?

I have this great add-on working with 2 of my 4 cameras.
The 2 that I cannot get setup are wansview brand and the stream url does not allow for the username and password to be included.

I emailed wansview and they said no user:pass in the url. When I enter the url in this addon there is nowhere to enter in my user pass.

Here is the url they told me to use which does work but I then get a popup that asks for user pass...

http://myip:port/mjpeg/stream.cgi?chn=1

Is there anyway to get this to work?

Getting the "Opening Stream" message when selecting a camera. Video works but the Opening Stream dialog never goes away

Edit: NM. Resolved.

A new problem. Once I open a camera the buttons are unresponsive and I have to reset my Fire TV.

Any possibility of adding "add to favorites" link to cameras. This way they can just be added to a skin context menu (in skins like mimic or aeon) by selecting the favorite.

Hello Friends! I apologize for my lack of attendance this past while. Any reason will just sound like an excuse. I'm also a bit upset at myself for committing to the hikvision addition but not yet providing it. I've put it back on my radar.

I also see a few other things going on here that I should help sort out for the community.

@Ruckus - can you confirm your add-on settings camera configs and firmware version of the cameras so I know what we're working with?

@waylotul - I haven't tested touchscreen platforms but that should be easy on any Android device. My wife now has a touchscreen laptop I can also test. But just to be clear, the issue is you can't hit the close button using the touchscreen interface right? I'll look into this when I'm at home and can do that.

@cyablo - The password restriction is because authentication is passed in the HTTP URLs that the addon uses to communicate with. These characters don't play nice in the protocol.

@chrisko - You can try to pass authentication in the HTTP url... such as this which might do the trick:
http://username:password@myip:port/mjpeg/stream.cgi?chn=1
Sometimes you need to pass authentication after the '?' as a variable but this would be specific to the camera vendor. It would be something like this if its allowed:
http://myip:port/mjpeg/stream.cgi?chn=1&usr=******&pwd=******

@speed32219 - hikvision is coming and I will be asking for the community's support for testing since I don't have one myself. It'll likely take 2-3 iterations before its nearly bug free

@locoguano - This is a new issue for me. I don't think its been test on Fire TV yet but the platform shouldn't be the issue (I hope). Can you confirm the add-on config settings for the camera and also the camera you're using? As for your favourite request, I can definitely add this once I figure out how that's done. I would add it the advanced menu for each camera.

maikito26, Thanks for getting back to me on this. Yes basically when in preview of 4 cameras, I have no way to exit using my touchscreen. double tap tap and hold etc. Nothing works. I also want to note that when launching "all Cameras" I am always prompted now to "resume" or "start from beginning" It doesn't just launch. I even setup a special key to lauch "all cameras" from a favourite I created by adding all cameras to favourites using a right click and add.

I don't really get an immediate launch of all cameras, I just get the video addons opened to Surveillance Room. I still have to navigate to all cameras and launch it there. Then still prompted to resume or continue.

I hope this explains the issues. I can work around the touchscreen problem by using my remote back button but the prompt to resume from beginning is a step that I didn't think was intentional. Love the add on and its very useful. Im running Jarvis RC2 on a windows PC with touch and remote airmouse.

Managed to get it working but only in frames, i have a Foscam FI9804P, is there a way to get full stream video on the preview or am i stuck with it like this?

I just installed your plugin (version 1.2.3 from your repo) and I am having difficulty getting it to work. Here is my setup:

Kodi (Jarvis) installed on Win 8.1 pc
Video output is set at 1080p @24

Camera:
Trendnet TV-IP320PI (1.3 Mp)
(h.264) RSTP URL: rstp://user:pass@IP:554
(MPEG) RSTP URL: rstp://user:pass@IP:554/Streaming/Channels/2


Both RSTP URLS are confirmed working in VLC and Kodi using a .strm file

I installed the plugin and enabled camera 1 in the configuration. I also disabled preview for the camera. Then I attempt to start the stream through the plugin. The feed starts (I can see the picture) but then it either stops immediately or it gives me an error - " One or more files failed to play"

Hi maikito26 , is it possible to view the cameras in fullscreen and the camera view switch between the cameras 1 and 2 every 5 sec. ?

We have 2 doors and my mom doesn`t see enough on quadsplitted screen.
