Others are able to do it. There are several third party programs for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and Android that do this. There's just no one who is willing (or otherwise unable) to open source their work. It's basically asking "why is no one offering to work for free?".

I've been having issues with Airplay lately. It seems they started sometime during the Jarvis RCs. I think Airplay on the Jarvis betas worked 100% fine. But now, it seems like the airplay connection isn't being closed properly or something. Once an airplay session ends, Kodi disappears from the receiver list unless the airplay service, or Kodi itself is restarted. This is on Windows 10 x64.

Very strange: Airplay audio works great for me with the Apple Music app, but it doesn't work in iSub nor Fip. There, it plays audio for about 2 seconds, then pauses. This is iOS 9.3.1.

Hi
Issue with Airplay on Windows 10 Kodi 16.2
Streaming of audio works "once" - as soon as the audio stream from my iPhone finishes and I try to start another audio feed it locks both the iPhone & Kodi.
Anyone else seeing this?

There is possibility of the return of airplay? I mean photo, video etc.?

doesn't look like it ... it still works for clients with older ios version though

Audio from itunes/macosx works... it's the just ios devices that do not.
