New guy alert and long first post so be gentle... Hello by the way!!
Now I've had a look through the search and couldn't find a thread with the same problem as mine so figured i'd better ask.
Basically i've been using Kodi now since before Christmas, i was new to it then but am very much into technology and a quick learner and like to fiddle with the settings and skins to see what does what and i like to think i'm pretty proficient with Kodi now. Now i've tried many different builds and skins and the only one i really, really like is MQ6. Now when i first got my Droidbox T8, it was running Isengard and as most probably know you can get MQ6 from the Kodi repo, but since the upgrade to Jarvis, this has gone and even downloading the skin and adding it separately (in my experience anyway) doesn't work on Jarvis. Other articles point this out aswell so it's obviously well known.. Oh, and as a side note, i've even tried deleting Jarvis and going back to Isengard in an attempt to keep it, but when i do that, it's no longer in the Kodi repo as an add on?!?! So when i'm forced to add it manually it doesn't like it and does the same thing i'm about to get to..
Now there is a MQ6 mod skin which i found out could run on Jarvis and i downloaded it tonight and it installed fine.. Plus it was a slightly tweaked version that was even better.. Hooray i thought!
So i went about setting it up, but as i've had this problem with MQ6 before in it's standard form, i thought i'd just see if it was going to do the same, and it did.... It keeps resetting itself to the 10%, 20%, 30% setup screen, everytime i reboot, therefore losing all my settings..
Why is it doing this? I haven't changed anything else, It's a clean install of Kodi before i install it to get rid of any bugs, i've tried fresh start, and even using the backup/reset option within the box settings and wiping it clean that way, it still does it.. Any other skin works fine and holds its settings, so why does it only do this on the only skin i really like?? Can anyone get an MQ6 skin to work flawlessly on Jarvis because it clearly doesn't like me!
Thanks in advance.
