Thanks for the update but it doesn't seem to be working.

I tried some of the other text based controls at random and they work, but 3007 doesn't show anything.

I am using PlexKodiConnect but I don't think that should make a difference because the other controls seem to work.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Thanks for the random videos feature. I realize that it causes a bit of trouble for some but I like it. Sometimes I forget about a series that I had intended to watch but did not get around to, and this is a nice reminder.

One small suggestion. Is it possible to add a feature to have the random video be from a similar tag ( I use Emby) as the playing episode. In that way I could avoid advertising a show like Diary of A Call Girl to my daughter when she is watching Hanna Montana. It could be tag or rating or both whichever is easier.

Hi, Thanks yes that was the purpose. A similar tag is not possible (as far as I know), what it does now is attempt first to find a similar show from the same Genre...so your watching a SCI-FI show..the random show shown would be another SCI-FI show. If it fails to find another show with the same Genre it then just shows the next up for the same show.

I'm using Windows 10 - the error message is ERROR: Exception caught on main loop. Exiting
Kodi version is 16.1, addon version is 1.0.23, I use a skin called Mimic.

It looks like the skin your using is missing a definition for the plot for next info (in particular control id 3001 needs to be defined). If it is skin related please report this on the Mimic skin thread. To confirm/reject my theory please try a different skin. It should be fine in Confluence and obviously it's fine in my skin too.

i just updated the addon to version 1.0.24, before testing your theory. thing is, the update seems to have fixed the problem. kodi doesn't crash anymore at all.

hi, I was getting this 'exception caught on main loop' error

what fixed it for me was going to Settings> Player Settings> Videos> and unticking Play next video automatically

figured it out once I saw that the Next Up settings there is a default action to play too once the timer runs down

Could you extended your addon for show in LiveTV what will next - based on EPG even ?
I think that is possible - it will great ! for LiveTV see this

For replace ClearART, you can use thumb from EPG event (some EPG provider or scraper delivery this)
and some skin using this showing info about program, or channel icon, or animated word "NEXT" and under this epg event with timer count

Maybe it's because I was running on a Pi 1 or whatever and the low mem CPU values. I'll have to try this on the Pi3 I'm now running.

I'm also running Kodi with OpenELEC, Please tell me I'm allowed to reference OpenELEC. Don't want any more accidental oopsies. Which if I'm not allowed then I just made one ;-/
