It's either not where the on-screen display is saying (unlikely), or you're not checking exactly where the OSD is saying (bear in mind the OSD might well be linking to a hidden folder.)

If you really need to manually provide a debug log...

(1) Enable debug logging
(2) Find the debug logging file
(3) Easy ways to get and post the log file

Seriously, the instructions just aren't that complicated. And if you need help, please post for assistance - making it clear where you've run into trouble.

Thanks for your help. but I can't even fined the kodi.log. I enable show hidden files and I still couldn't fined it.

It's quite a nice binary situation:

Either you are using a supported Kodi build with supported addons- in which case the log file will be located here - or you're using an unsupported build or have unsupported addons - which change the log location - in which case you need to ask for support elsewhere,

If you are using a supported build with supported addons - the debug log WILL BE where the link says it is for your platform. I'm sorry that you can't find it - I'm more sorry that you haven't provided any details of the difficulties you've found in accessing it. However - as I do with everyone who I add to my ignore list because they are either trolling (my suspicion with you) or are constantly asking for assistance which breaches this forums policies - I wish you the best of luck with your future Kodi journey.

That said, I'm currently relying on the DSplayer build of Kodi for the madVR support, and it sounds like that won't be getting a Danvers update (dev seems to have stalled out), so I think I may be stuck on Jarvis for the foreseeable future. Not that I'm expecting any future AZ:FA support on Jarvis... That's sort of why I'm trying to dig into this now, to learn more about how it's put together so I can make any needed changes myself.

Well, there's actually a development branch for Jarvis: "3.2.22" that hasn't had any changes updated to it. It was only intended for one minor change: disable the ability to enable icons on the home screen for the default view but one thing to remember is that some of the fixes in Danvers can always make their way back to the Jarvis version.

I'm sure we can see about making the Music section display a vinyl rather than a DVD. And fix the bar so it's like the others as a thing that appears on the right side. Krypton is getting a lot of the attention but fixing a few minute things in Jarvis can be done since they are applicable to Krypton as well.

It's just going to be a week or two before there's another update release.

It seems Danvers Preview Alpha 2 is working for everyone; there hasn't been any bug reports yet.

Just FYI, I've been playing around with the Textures files (and some of the skin files) and I've found a solution to pretty much all of my initial problems... It was mainly just knowing where the skin was pulling those resources from. I managed to replace the CD with vinyl and slightly adjusted the positioning, and I've spent this week successfully creating my own genre thumbs, so as far as I'm concerned, everything is as I want it... except for the weird music sidebar menu thing. If you feel like tackling that, great, but if not... that'll probably be my next thing to figure out and fix. =)

Anyway, thanks for this great skin! The more I learn about it, the more I appreciate the effort that went into it.

please don't accuse me of trolling. You can look at all my previous posts and I can assure you i'm a genuine person and do not use unsupported add-ons I take security very seriously when using kodi, I'm very sorry you feel this way.
And for your information I did a clean install without any add-ons(supported) and I still couldn't find the log.

UPDATE: I have found the kodi.log. it's in a folder called "DiagnosticReports" with other log files from other applications.

The information on the kodi site is outdated for locating the kodi.log for OS X El Capitan.

I'm 100% sure Guardian Hope will confirm Krypton is not giving the correct info where the kodi.log is stored.

The website is coming a long slowly but I am confident that a lot of the new features will be up there soon.

Please report any bugs here or ideas you might have or want to see in the next major release of AZ:FA.

The Alpha 3 Update will add a vinyl texture instead of a CD for Music. Either Alpha 4 or Alpha 5 should fix a lot of issues currently with Music that also effect Jarvis' version (Jarvis won't be seeing these updates).

Alpha 3 will be a minor update. As I said when we started down the Krypton path, updates will come as changes are made.

I will also be updating the screenshots with some of the new looks featured in Danvers!

Again, please let me know if you run into any issues with either AZ:FA Danvers or the new Repository that extends upon he Enterprise CDN.

Great news the website coming along and thank you very much for Alpha 2. Smile

@Blurayx - could you get the Kodi.log file from the OS X Console? I'm going to install Kodi 17 on my Mac tonight; it's working very well in Windows.

I'll send you a link via PM to the new private pastebin site that's part of the new AZ:FA site where you can post it for us to directly see without posting public information to the forums.

I will do this tomorrow because I want to see it on my Mac as well. I will also push back Alpha 3 to address that issue. We got Windows working, I didn't expect OS X to not.

It almost looks like it's waiting for AZ:FA to do something. AZ:FA was tested against the Kodi Krypton Alpha, not Beta. I know there were changes planned in the Beta according to the Wiki.

So yes, let me get my OS X setup and see; then I will send you a PM with a link to a private AZ:FA pastebin (it's one of the new site's features) so you can send me the Kodi.log from OS X's console and we'll get that fixed.

Guardian Hope,

I have the kodi log Smile

Sorry, I dropped off because I had to get a new DHCP Server setup and it's running Win2K8 (not even R2) so I had to pull out the instruction book.

I will send you a PM tomorrow (for you it may be the following day depending on when I send it) with a link where you can attach that log securely.

For future reference, on OS X, you can find Kodi's log files very easily by going to Applications -> Utilities -> Console and simply scrolling (or searching for) to "kodi.log." You can export it by Right Click -> Export or Right Click -> Save As.

Hey Guardian Hope, Thanks for your continued efforts and support on this great skin! I've been out of the loop for a while as I'm currently on holiday, I tried out the danvers preview last night, nothing to report in terms of bugs but I didn't test it thoroughly. Great news that the music osd and menu is going to get an overhaul! For me personally I would prefer to see a hand written cdr when no cdart is available similar to Aeon Nox: SilVo. I've made a mock-up of the type of thing I'd lke to see on the osd, let me know if I can be of any help!

There are changes currently being made to the File Manager that won't be available until the Alpha 3 release. With that said however, I probably wouldn't recommend importing a previously saved version of your customizations into Danvers only because of all the changes.

However, @minus0 developed that ability for this skin so this is his areas of expertise.

@Habitual_Sinner, I am happy to hear that the Danvers Preview is working well even if it hasn't been tested thoroughly. Yes, I know music has been in need of an overhaul since this skin was Arctic Zephyr: Exploded but it just wasn't a priority under Jarvis. With Krypton, we have the time to sit down and say "hey, here's what we want to do and accomplish" such as updating the music and fixing the widgets. Really, this is the first version that's being co-authored from the ground up and @minus0 is an excellent person to work with.

I like the mock-up you made. I know Mike SiiVo drops by this thread so perhaps he can touch base on how difficult it was to implement such a design and if it's something that's exclusive to his version of Aeon Nox, his blessing to bring it into From Ashes.

The skin is likely going to be a little bigger in either the Alpha 3 or Alpha 4 release as we adjust font faces and move from fonts like Arial to more modern Segoe (etc.) so the old fonts will remain just in case it doesn't turn out right.

For @Bluerayx - the Application Deployment team is working on a secure private pastebin for uploading logs pertaining to AZ:FA. Honestly, I am impressed and humbled by how many people use this skin whether on Jarvis or Krypton and I am even more humbled by those that have taken their time to contribute to bettering the skin. We're also working on crediting everyone on the new AZ:FA website.

Depends on if difficult = time consuming Wink The mockup, however, does not show the handwritten disc Confused

Everything in my skin is freely available to use as anyone sees fit due to the licence and spirit of open source but I would like to be asked before that happens cause of the effort involved even though I will always say yes Smile

The hardest part for me was aligning the spinning label to the center of the disc so it didn't slide away from the intended location during the rotate animation. That was hours of trial and error but i'm sure there is some math involved that might simplify that process. I, however, have not figured that out yet.

If you can use the same dimensions for the Album cover that I do then you can simply copy/paste my controls and adjust position to your liking. You would have to add the disc image from my media folder while altering/removing/changing the includes, visibles, and conditional animations but it should work Nod

P.S. The file manager thing is part of a Kodi issue when using python scripts. For more info you can check my FAQ question #4, same principle even though it mentions backgrounds.
