I'm running 16.1 and when I do a update library it doesn't pick up all my music, all items are tagged and when I go into music/files and select a missing item and select scan item to library it then works, any ideas how to fix this as I don't want to go into every folder and scan them manually to add them.

Would need a debug log (wiki) posted to pastebin taken when you do a full library scan including new files not currently in the library.

Have you added a music source that is the folder common to all your music? It sounds like you are adding music album (or even song?) at a time.
