@chiefnerd and anyone else who wants to try out Advanced Launcher.

I am posting a link to files that have the Advanced Launcher in them.
These files are all the "Views" associated with the Launcher.

All files go in the 16x9 folder of the skin. Please necessary files before copying the new ones.

Note: I do not use Advanced Launcher, so I used some of the code from "Braz" Arctic Zephyr skin. Please test and let me know what's missing. Thanks everyone.

I explained how the timing works on the Music disc/info flipping to @Habitual_Sinner. The timing sequence is based on percentages of the songs ProgressBar. It's set at 33% of any given song. So a shorter song will take less time to flip than a longer song. Based it on a long song of a little over 6 minutes. Most song are not that long. So the norm would be if it starts on the right, then around a little over 2 minutes it should flip to the left, then at a little over 4 minutes it should flip back to the right. Hence it flips twice. I don't think it needs to be flipping every 30 seconds. A few minutes will not have any burnin issues that I am aware of.

I will probably set it up the way @Habitual_Sinner described. Makes sense. I will see about setting the percentages to a small number. Just a lot more code.

Thanks for the clarification but if you're saying that it's set to change at 33% then we should be seeing it change 3 times per song, no matter the length. It might be better to set it at 25% of the progress bar, that way it flips just as the song changes to the next in a playlist - this is again for continuity and completeness as per my previous post. I know that you're alone in terms of development at the moment and I can probably help, feel free to contact me

UPDATE:

I've just realise my shield is running krypton Beta 4 and the iMac Beta 3. I will downgrade the shield back to Beta 3 and report back.

when I press enter on the remote, The album art stays on but only with the current playlist. if I press the back button they both disappear. Do you think it could be a key mapping issue with the Shield?

That's so strange. It runs perfect on my FireTV. Wish someone else with a Android box would chime in on this subject.

I've done a fresh install and followed your setup. I'm please to say everything is working. I think it would be better when fullscreen is pressed it should only display album art(flip). But if enter is pressed again on the remote Current playlist is then displayed.

Glad to hear you have it working. On the full screen issue, I thought someone posted that on the Shield it takes to many clicks to get to the Music SideBlade. Might have been in the Emby forums. I can toggle the action in SkinSettings.

I know @Guardian Hope was working on this issue. I would guess this will be corrected in next Beta. With him moving and computer issues, I haven't talk to him much.

UPDATE:

Disabling "Show Music INFO Always in Music OSD" solved the problem with "Current playlist" appearing after selecting full screen.

Now everything is working perfectly

Edit. Installing the ui sounds separately fixed it.

Are the 2 white bars supposed to be there? Also.. which option is it to change the text color? Can't really read the season text
