So I have this setup and it works for the most part aside from Quasar itself almost being defunct. Is anyone working on modifying this to work with other add ons?

I could always setup a US account but then some of my actual location (UK) might not be working right.
Trying to run this on a Windows 10 Kodi box...bullet proof on its own but this would be the icing on the cake
I'm using it just fine in Costa Rica.

Hi. You need to go to:
system>settings>addons>install from zip file
Now point it at the zip you dowloaded.
You should have a new repository installed.
Select install from repository>Alexa Addons>services>Alexa Plugin

Question how does the skill know what instance of Kodi to invoke the commands on? I have 2 instances of Kodi in my house one on the downstairs TV and one on the upstairs TV. If I am upstairs and tell Alexa to tell Kodi to Play "Some Movie" how does it now what Kodi box to play it on.

When you setup the env file you specific the up address of the particular instance of KODI. It will only access the machine you tie to that skill.

I am having an issue where Alexa states that Kodi is not connected to the server. I have ran a netstat -an on my Kodi box and I see a connection to the amazonaws server on port 3000. I have tried resetting my key, rebooting, and disabling and reenableing the Kodi skill and still no luck. Any ideas?

Not sure mine was working and then started giving that error also. With no changes aside from closing kodi and reopening it.

im still having this issue too "alexa not connected to server" anybody have and ideas to throw my way?

Mine still appears to be working for now. I need to run some tests and send some logs to Jingai though to get round some slowdown issues

Hey, im a bit of a newbie to all this smart home stuff and have just got an echo dot which i use with my lightwave rf gear. I have just got the kodi skill set up which im extremely excited to get started using however when ever i ask the following phrase "Alexa, ask Kodi to play 'Creed' " the response i get is "i dont know how to help you with that."
Any ideas?
